You could visit the Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth, head to Canonteign Falls, England's highest waterfall, in Exeter, and enjoy on-site fishing all year round.
Kingsford Lodge is a stylish luxury lodge for four people with one king size double bedroom and one twin room. There's a large walk-in shower and French windows lead to a good sized decking area with garden furniture, an outdoor hot tub and beautiful views across the lake. It is also centrally heated.
The Weary Traveller in Cullompton offers hearty country cooking prepared with fresh local ingredients. They also have a Sunday carvery and often host live music at the weekends as well as holding summer barbecues and music parties. Powderham Castle in Exeter is set in an ancient deer park and it's been home to the Earls of Devon for over 600 years.
