Kingsford Farm Lodges Reviews

"Very rural area. WiFi too weak. Beds are not comfortable. Its okay for some one needs to hide away from the rest of the world."
Verified Guest - Oct 2024
"Lovely lodge, very clean overall, just windows could have done with a clean. Very well kept outside all very tidy"
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"Lodge 3 could do with a quieter fridge as very noisy. Shower could do with a bit of TLC."
Verified Guest - Jul 2024
"Great little siteLoved hot tubBut sofa was so stained I couldnt sit on it Also a few items in cupboard could do with re washing Deep clean needed"

"Lodge was amazing, can't fault nothing. The bed was super comfortable best night sleep ive had in ages"
Stacey - Feb 2024
"We had a great few nights at Kingsford Lodge. The location is lovely, in the middle of nowhere but only a short drive to Exeter. The owner was very welcoming, the lodge was very clean and had most things you would need. My only negative would be the Wi-Fi is poor, which is refreshing for a few days but could be frustrating for a longer stay. Would definitely recommend and will certainly visit again i the future."

"Thoroughly enjoyable"
Lynn - Sep 2019
"Beautiful location to stay in! The lodges are quite close together but have little fences to ensure privacy when outside.
Shirt drives to Exeter and Dartmouth with lots to do around the area!
Stay could be improved with just small finishing touches such as tea and coffee, soap etc. We were prepared as had read other reviews beforehand.
Loved our stay and wish we were back in the hot tub!!"
Krysia - Jul 2019
"Lovely lodge, in the middle of nowhere. Shame there is nowhere to go by foot but very peaceful. Nice surroundings within the park. Needs better sign outside to alert you of your arrival as couldnt tell we had arrived until she ran over to the car. Lots of single track roads around the area so need to be a confident driver. Would like to see active checks on hot tubs each day like Ive seen elsewhere. Single beds slightly small but comfortable. Towels provided by small and need to bring beach towel for hot tub. Bring dishwasher tablets and other essentials as only first one provided."
Jennifer - Jul 2019
"Lovely clean lodge has everything you would need."
Dean - Jul 2019
"Thank you for a wonderful weekend."
Deb - Jul 2019
"Be prepared for driving 2 miles down a single track road. Once there, if you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. The lodge was comfortable and well equipped and there is a small lake for fishing. There are no amenities there but the farm staff are helpful.
It's advertised as having 55 acres of surrounding land but there is really nowhere to walk."
Paulette - May 2019
"Will be returning was amazing"
Peter - Apr 2019
"Fantastic would return 10 times over"
Tiffany - Mar 2019

Andy - Nov 2018
"Loved every single second of our holiday, thank you."
Cheryle - Sep 2018
"Would highly recommend :) My other half and I stayed for 4 nights, such a beautiful area that feels like you're in the middle of nowhere (in a good way) but so quick & easy into Exeter centre. The lodges are lovely and we really appreciated teh extra thought put into privacy - the lodges aren't too close together and the decking/hot-tub area were fantastic. The bed was insanely comfy too!"
Talia - Aug 2018
"Wow! What can I say? Amazing!
Location is fantastic. Pretty much in the middle of nowhere, so quiet and relaxing. No aeroplanes flying over, virtually no traffic, lovely owner, nothing too much trouble. Lots of ducks on the fishing lake, enormous fish coming up to eat our bread (we didnt go fishing), 2 very old donkeys loving the attention and the lodge was superb. Comfortable and clean. All in all a wonderful holiday. Definitely a 10/10 from us!"
Jennifer - Aug 2018
"Love coming here after a year’s hard slog at work. So tranquil and natural. Not far from Dartmoor Park or Exeter. Roughly an hour to the seaside depending where you want to go. Nice pubs locally for food and drink. The approach to the place is via a single narrow public bridle road for about 2 miles. Tight in some places with shrubbery otherwise a well maintained lane. Expect to meet the odd cow or two and farm vehicles along this road."
Stephanie - Jul 2022
"Owner welcomed us and explained everything when we first arrived and then left us alone which was great. We were in lodge 3 which was not overlooked at all. Very quiet which was lovely. Not very good WiFi connectivity and no phone signal at all was the only let down otherwise couldn't fault the lodge Would definitely recommend."
Sue - Jul 2022
"Lovely lodge well equipped everything you needed, in a nice setting, although some reviewers didn’t like the road towards the farm but we didn’t have any problems just a few horses on the road. And loved the hot tub."
Alison - Jun 2022
"Really enjoyed my holiday ,peaceful ,tranquil settings just the lambs bleeding and ducks quacking would highly recommend ?"
Sharon - Jun 2022
"Kingsford Farm Lodges were in an idylic setting, very quite and peaceful. It was off the beaten track but the directions given are spot on! The lodge we used was well equipped and comfortable, the twin room had proper single beds not just the 2ft 6" beds unlike other accommodations we have used which feel a bit like sleeping on a shelf! The bathroom was a very good size with a double sized shower and a great shower with great water pressure. Would have like more towels though, only about four hung on the towel rail so was a stretch for 3 people! It was a good job we had our own towels for the hot tub. We arrived a bit early to check in but we were welcomed and given keys and directions to our lodge, the owner needed to pop out but this allowed us to unpack the car, and she came down to the lodge to explain how the hot tub worked and answer any questions we had. Have to say the hot tub was one of the best we have used, it was powerful and lovely and warm, and kept its heat, It was a proper wooden lodge and the smell of sawn wood when entering the lodge was lovely. There was decking to the front and side of the lodge and a lovely are at the rear to sit with furniture. Only thing you could hear in the evenings were the birds and the lambs in the fields, Truly lovely. I would definitely book here again, we were 3 adults with no children to entertain. and we don't mind driving around and exploring Dand helpfulevon and we know parts of the county already. It was a lovely short break and the owners were friendly"
William - Jun 2022
"Had a lovely time, very peaceful, just the wildlife for company"
Helen - May 2022
"It was out second time staying at kingsford Lodge when we arrived we were told we was the only ones staying it was lovely and peaceful the hot tub was superb my partner and son went fishing everyday they thoroughly enjoyed themselves it was a really relaxing break we are looking forward to returning soon"
Louise - May 2022
"We were provided with excellent directions to our lodge which is 2 miles from the main road through Longdown. The lodge is situated in beautiful and idyllic surroundings. We received a lovely warm welcome by the owner which was followed another warm welcome from the 4 resident Guinea Fowl! The lodge was very clean & comfortable with all the facilities and amenities that we required. We loved the hot tub. I would highly recommend visiting Exeter Quays and the Eden Project. Great food at The Lamb in Longdown. We loved our holiday in Devon."
Steven - May 2022
"it was such a peacful place , with loads of farm animals including phesant and turkeys we would recommend to anyone"
Steven - Apr 2022
"Amazing holiday at Kingsford Farm, lovely facilities and so peaceful. We’re looking forward to returning."
Louise - Apr 2022
"We had a fantastic holiday at Kingsford Lodges excellent location away from everything with peace and quiet. The lodge is well presented with everything you need whilst staying but also only being six miles from Exeter to take the children out during the day. The hot tub is fantastic we made the must of this during the evenings. I would highly recommend Kingsford Lodges and we will endeavour to return."
