About Skirrid View Shepherd Hut

The main hut features a lounge/dining area with smart TV, DAB radio and a cosy double bed. There's a separate kitchen hut with gas stove, microwave and fridge. Luxury touches include underfloor heating and a modern shower room. Outside you'll find a wood burner and fire pit, gas BBQ, table and chairs and even a hammock for afternoon naps!

Visit Abergavenny Castle (10 minutes), Crickhowell Castle (20 minutes), or try trout fishing just 6 miles away. The Abergavenny Food Festival is worth planning around!

Lama Trekking at Old king Street Farm - NP16 6AA

Lamas are gentle, affectionate and unique animals and Lama Trekking is fast becoming a popular family attraction. At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available. 
Cantref Adventure Farm - LD3 8LR

Cantref Adventure Farm offers hours of indoor and outdoor fun for the whole family. Inside there is a huge soft play area with a separate area for toddlers as well as ball pools, climbing frames, slides and chutes. The Cannon balls are a big hit with children of all ages. New for 2010 is the Badgers quest interactive maze. Outside there is a play area, large boating lake with paddle boats, nature trails with clues and quizzes and an agility course. Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.
