Pheasant Lodge Llangenny Reviews

Sarah - Oct 2024
Lovely location. Basic but clean little shalet. Hot tub more effort than it's worth.
Denise - Oct 2024
We stayed here for 3 nights in Pheasant Lodge with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The lodge is comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and has enough space to sit and eat together. It is set in a beautiful location and you can walk to the pub in a few minutes. We did a 10.5 mile circular walk from the accommodation up Sugarloaf. The wood fired hot tub Read morewas a real treat and whilst it took a bit of getting used to, there was plenty of firewood. Very helpful and friendly owners. Plan to come back! Hide

Pheasant Lodge was a great spot during our long weekend for a family wedding in Abergavenny. The lodge had everything you would need. Lovely cottage with stunning views across the valley. Cottage has a well equipped kitchen if you feel like cooking. The garden is beautiful with many different types of plants in it. The hot tub was lovely with our lodge and had amazing views from it when you're enjoying it. The couple who run it are lovely and very helpful. Will be going again!
Bernard - Jun 2024

Ellie - Nov 2023
Had a great stay in Pheasant Lodge, the hosts were very helpful and attentive. They were great with requests, even setting up some decorations for our Christmas celebration! The hot tub was a great extra however would have been improved if we had been able to control when to heat it ourselves. The property was uphill from the car park so maybe not Read moreso suitable for those with limited mobility. Great stay nevertheless! Hide
Sarah - Oct 2023
Amazing location, we stayed in Pheasant Cottage for four nights and didnt need to use the car. Access to fantastic walks, lovely location. The hot tub takes about three hours to warm up.
Paul - Oct 2023
Lovely remote cottage, Internet and WiFi were unreliable. The use of wood fired hot tub was great and a real treat with lovely view across the countryside. Friendly and helpful hosts.
Victoria - Oct 2023
The welcome was super, facilities, bedrooms shower and kitchen stuff all extra superb. The sheets very clean and little garden terrace and views just superb. I had read reviews about the hot tub not being hot - well who ever wrote that, they were incorrect. Beautiful location and we loved using the hot tub after long walking days!
Helen - Oct 2022
Fabulous quiet idyllic location, lovely well equipped lodge with good sized rooms. Everything was perfect apart from the hot tub which needs to be heated by a wood burner 3 hours before use, in October we found it was only lukewarm after this time so did not use.
Dk - Sep 2022

Lovely cottage, well equipped, comfortable with wonderful views. However a very steep garden and entrance so not suitable for people with mobility problems.
Rachel - Aug 2022

Roxanna - Aug 2022
Absolutely amazing location with very welcoming hosts. Would highly recommend.
Michelle - Aug 2022
Spent a week here at the beginning of August with 3 friends and had a wonderful stay. The lodge was very well equipped and the extra little touches of a welcome basket (milk, tea, coffee & Welsh cakes), fans in each bedroom and fleece blankets for when we sat in the garden star gazing were very thoughtful. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet, spectacular views and walking trails during our stay. Id definitely recommend this property.
Zoe - Jul 2022
A really homely feeling to the lodge. We were comfortable to relax inside. Beds were comfortable too. Lovely plot of land with walks on the door step. A lovely view from the top of the garden.
Stephanie - Jun 2022
What a lovely place to stay. The house was perfect for our stay (2 couples with babies around 1 years old). The house was lovely and the gardens were beautiful. We really enjoyed the hot tub too. What really stood out where the views - they are breathtakingly beautiful! In a really good location, close to Abergavenny which has all the amenities yo u need. It is also just over 30min from Bike park Wales, which was great fun! The owners are lovely and friendly, we had a lovely time.
Richard - Jun 2022
Great rural location on a hill with well kept garden area and excellent views from the hot tub. Friendly and helpful owners in the house nearby.
Michael And Judi - Jun 2022
Pheasant lodge is set in beautifully wild gardens with incredible views. Mr and Mrs Parks couldn't have been more helpful and we loved seeing the pigs and goats. The covered hot tub & BBQ areas make them great rain or shine. It is a steep walk from parking area though with your bags. We found the shared WIFI patchy and relied on 4G on our phones at times. A lovely place for a relaxing stay, wonderful walks and lazing about, close to lovely little towns, great food and an excellent pub.
Andrea - May 2022
What a fantastic place to stay Mr and Mrs Parks were so welcoming and helpful We stayed with two dogs and loads of access to lovely walks The local pub was easy to get to We loved the hot tub and managed a barbecue when it was chucking it down with rain! We remained completely dry in the barbecue area A big well done to the gardener who is doing a beautiful job Would love to visit again x
Catherine - May 2022
A very special spot which you will want to return to. If you want to unwind with glorious views in a peaceful place with great amenities then this is highly recommended.
Evan - Apr 2022
Best service, wonderful communication, very kind hosts. Our stay at the cottage was amazing - we particularly enjoyed our interactions with the hosts who continued to go above and beyond to help make our stay exceptional. Arrival was so easy, communication was good, all our requests were met with a smile. The location is gorgeous, and the hot tub w ith that view is unforgettable. Five star holiday and I am sure we will be back. Perfect for 2 couples or a family (or 1 couple!) Thanks
Lara - Apr 2022
Fantastic location far from the madding crowd. The owners couldnt have been more helpful or welcoming. Perfect retreat and the hot tub was fab.
Francesca - Apr 2022
A beautiful setting. The upper garden is big but note not wholly secure for dogs. The Lodge is thoughtfully and extremely well equipped (all kitchen equipment and utensils, dishwasher etc, hairdryer and fan) as well as clean. There is also a storage room with clothes dryers, washing machine, tumble dryer, garden chairs etc. Wifi signal not the best but expected in such a rural location - we could get onto freeview and Netflix now and again. The hot tub takes circa 3 hours to reach temp.
Jo - Oct 2021
Fabulous location! Right on Sugar Loaf with stunning views all around. Wood fired hot tub took a bit of getting used to but was lush after a hike up the mountain. Less than 5 minutes walk to the local pub serving delicious home cooked food. Cottage itself is spacious and comfortable. We had a fantastic weekend and will definitely return.
Susan - Sep 2021
The lodge is a great place to stay, we enjoyed sitting in the lovely gardens looking at the beautiful views over the countryside. The pigs and goats nearby were good fun to watch and friendly. We also enjoyed using the hot tub and great walks from the door.
