Hoseasons
Pembrokeshire » Narberth, Nr Tenby
Sleeps up to 4
Hot Tub

Golf lovers take note! Amidst the tranquil woodland and the luxury lodge accommodation, Herons Brook Retreat Lodges has its very own on-site 18 hole golf course! It’s also close to Narberth, which has some lovely street cafes and a good selection of shops – plus a vineyard where you can watch the wine-making process and sample some fine Welsh wine. The Pembrokeshire coast is stunning and there are a number of excellent beaches within a very short distance.

The lodges are beautifully presented and offer a real touch of luxury. We’ve already mentioned the 18 hole golf course but there is also a wealth of woodland where you could take a gentle evening walk before retiring to your private hot tub. The park has a coffee shop with Wi-Fi access and Herons Brook Lodges is the perfect base from which to explore west Wales.

We think Hornbeam Lodge with its contemporary styled living space and spacious lounge that leads out to its own private verandah with hot tub is just stunning. It sleeps up to four people and has a double bedroom with ensuite shower and a twin room. Fully double glazed and centrally heated, Hornbeam Lodge is luxurious and modern.

The Pembrokeshire coast has miles of sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and great waves, perfect for surfing. The seaside town of Tenby is only few miles away where there is lots to see and do, such as visit the Dinosaur Experience or head to Heatherton World of Activities for paintballing and indoor bowls. Nearby Canaston Wood has one of Wales’ largest indoor water parks, great fun for both children and adults!

Herons Brook Retreat Lodges Reviews

"The lodge is starting to look a bit tired, but they have redone the hot tub. The resort only has a golf course you need a car for anything else."
Hayley - Mar 2025
"GREAT WEEKEND AND LODGE."
Stacey - Mar 2025
"I think we got a bit of bad luck whilst on this holiday. For the price we paid it was good, a few issues like a bulb out in the bathroom and a few in the living room plus floorboards that were sliding in the kitchen and a few issues with clean plates and glasses however the hot tub was amazing and well looked after plus the rest of the Lodge was gorgeous, and the bed was super comfortable!! We unfortunately had a bad night towards the end of the holiday as we lost power to the Lodge due to an extension lead somewhere in the Lodge blowing a fuse which left us with only lights for around 13 hours. As we are a young couple we do rely on technology so we found this night to be difficult but thankfully the staff at the head office and on site sorted it our as soon as they could and were very lovely to deal with. Overall, issues happen and was dealt with well which I think is important in this situation. The hottub was perfect and we slept very well and found the kitchen was well equipped."

"Beautiful Lodge very clean hot tub amazing .stunning setting"
Sara-jane - Feb 2025
"There was every thing you could wish for"
Rebecca - Feb 2025
"We arrived at herons brook on the Friday afternoon around 5pm, and where met at the reception by one of the staff members who showed us up to the lodge and showed us the hot tub, after that we where left to ourselves, the lodge was clean and tidy bar the kitchen which unfortunately we had to wash all of the cutlery, plates, cooking equipment (pots, pans) as they were dirty, we had to go out to get washing stuff as non is provided so we had to buy some dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and a sponge, the hot water in the lodge could only be described as tepid at best, I assume they they have a thermostatic mixer valve somewhere as over the weekend neither me or my partner could get any "hot" water just warm out of the taps and annoyingly the shower, (the boiler in the cupboard was running when the tap was in use and showing 60 we just weren't getting that at any outlet). The lodge it's self was nice and had everything you might want in terms of furnishings, 2 sofas, dining room table, and the bed was very comfortable, there is no way to connect to the TV if you wanted to, it's an older flat screen TV with no internet connection so we brought a hdmi lead from a local shop in hopes we might be able to plug my laptop in to watch a film but due to the way it's mounted you are unable too. Would be nice to have the option incase of a bad weather day and you stayed in to have a way to connect to the TV. The hot tub was nice and hot although when me and my partner got in most of the water ended up spilling over the side which we thought was quite amusing as it was filled right to the top. Overall quite a basic lodge for the cost, and it would have been nice to have been provided with more than the bare minimum, like toilet paper and full size towels and clean kitchen as it was an unideal way to start the break, also the site seams to be a little bit unfinished as there are orange pipes sticking out of the ground all over and an assortment of bricks/slabs/pavers on the site, and the lodges are closer together than they appear online Overall I'd give it 3/5 not bad but certainly wouldn't be rushing back unfortunately"

"Lovely place"
Sarah - Jan 2025
"We had the most amazing stay! We will definitely be returning. On arrival the lodge was lovely and warm and had a real cosy feel as soon as you entered. It was also spotless. The beds were really comfortable with plenty of pillows. Toiletry mini sets were left to use and were lovely. The hot tub was so good and well maintained every day. It was lovely and hot. The nearest village is within walking distance (15 mins give or take) and has a good selection of shops a bakery and some lovely pubs. The walk is up hill so may be better driving if you cant manage hills. Tenby is a 20 minute drive away and it such a beautiful place to visit. We had a very chilled new year thanks to this amazing site."
Clare - Jan 2025
"Perfect New Years getaway for me and my family. Decor was lovely but still had a really homely feeling. Fireworks at midnight on New Years was a great little touch"
Emma - Jan 2025
"We stayed here from Monday - Friday for Christmas and our stay was beautiful. Would highly recommend the lodges. They are warm, homely and beautiful. The hot tub was ready on arrival and a Christmas card and gift was left for us which was a lovely touch. The lodges are also very clean and have good facilities. There are local shops less than a five minute drive in a beautiful small village and the beach is a 15-20 minute drive. We visited Tenby which was also beautiful. I have nothing but positive feedback and would highly recommend."
Rachel - Dec 2024
"Nice lodge and hot tub"
Verified Guest - Dec 2024
"Beautiful lodge with all the facilities you could possibly want"
Paul - Dec 2024
"Our second stay at Bay Tree Lodge 1. What can I say. Again absolutely perfect. This has to be somewhere to go in winter just before Christmas to just unwind. It's an amazing place to stay. The lodge has everything and more for your stay. The bed is super comfortable. The whole lodge is warm and cosy. The view from the lodge will never get boring on a frosty morning while the sun is rising. The little robins who come by are so friendly. The hottub on a cold afternoon or freezing evening under the stairs tops it all off. Can't wait to return next year."
Lisa - Dec 2024
"Excellent lodge. Bathroom taps need updating. Window in bedroom could not be locked."

Steven - Sep 2024
"A lovely relaxing lodge with beautiful views. It felt so calming. The hot tub was a real asset after a long day exploring. I would return in a heartbeat."
Carla - Aug 2024
"Clean, comfortable and spacious 2-bedroom lodge. Wi-fi signal was excellent considering the remote location. En-suite room and bedding made for you on arrival with fresh towels and even a pair of slippers for 2 as part of the welcome! Dishwasher in kitchen has tablets provided and recycling bins in store cupboard for all types of waste. Tv reception was a little bit in and out but generally pretty good."
Chris - Jul 2024
"Was really clean and peaceful. Heating was easy to use should you need it. And check in was easy."
Ellis - Jul 2024
"Excellent place to stay .beautiful lodges well equipped with lovelyclean towels and bedding we stayed in baytree 2 for two people.quiet spot just 5 mins drive to narbeth .plenty of places to visit .tenby ,Saundersfoot. Follyfarm all short drive away .hottub was a bonus lovely and clean .Will definitely return soon ."

"Perfect.staff were welcoming.the lodge was perfect had additional things we were not expecting.there was tea coffee biscuits.slippers.all shower toiletries.dish washer tablets.can not fault the holiday at all .near all amenities and very private.it was nice to use the hot tub without people passing by.really went the extra mile to make you welcome"
Joyce - May 2024
"Excellent lodge had everything you need."
Alan - May 2024
"Had a lovely week away in bay tree lodge 1. Quiet and peaceful through the day and night. Hot tub is a plus to chill in the evening or even in the day. Tenby just a 20-30 min drive away with a nice restaurant called Qube, other restaurants and shops nearby. Only let down is there was at least 3 spiders coming in from somewhere every night, and woodlice but didnt ruin the stay! Would highly recommend for a little break."
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Loved every moment, it was a last ditch book by myself for me and the mrs to go away and i couldn't fault it ... really nice lodge and we have come back relaxed ????"
Kieran - Jan 2024
"Didn't stay there this year.stayed in lodge 3 which was just as good."
Verified Guest - Dec 2023
"A few things in the cabin need to be addressed. The toilet in the main bedroom takes ages to refill. The decking at the front of the cabin is starting to collapse. Also a set of steps directly down to the hot tub would be nice rather than having to walk the full length of the decking to the front of the cabin and then walking along the gravel to the back of the cabin to where the hot tub is."
Verified Guest - Dec 2023
"Our stay here was absolutely amazing. It is well equipped with everything you will need and more. The lodge itself is stunning. To wake up every morning to the peacefulness of this place is out of this world. Seeing the Robins right outside your door on a frosty morning was great. If you need to recharge your batteries or just get away from it all this is the place to go. My only regret is that I didn't book for longer. I was upset to leave and so was hubby. The hottub was surprisingly lovely on a Starry clear night at -2. I would highly recommend staying here. I will definitely be going back."
Lisa - Dec 2023
"The lodge was absolutely good value for money, we felt at home straight away and in particular enjoyed using the hot tub. We wished we could use the hot tub on the final day of our stay, perhaps this can be thought about for future stays."
Genevieve - Aug 2020
"Lodge was very clean. Kitchen well equipped with modern appliances. DVDs provided but no player and jigsaws provided but all pieces were muddled between about 5 boxes! No drying rack for clothes."
Helen - Aug 2020
"Excellent accommodation and location for exploring the Pembrokeshire coast"
Michael - Aug 2022
"Third time here and best ever hot tub great staff very helpfull will return"
Gillian - Jul 2022
"Lovely lodge that was spotlessly clean, the whole site is very well maintained. We were a little worried about being on a golf course and lots of golfers wondering around but that didn’t get too busy. Narberth is a nice little town with all the amenities you need however they do tend to be a little pricey. Tenby and Saundersfoot are well worth a visit."
Julie - Jul 2022
"The Harrington lodge was fantastic, in lovely surroundings and the staff were very helpful with local knowledge. We will definitely return again."
Michael - Jul 2022
"Had a great holiday would highly recommend ?"
Tracy - Jul 2022
"beautiful quiet surroundings, the lodge was lovely very clean and well presented. the hot tubs are secluded in woodland settings. a perfect retreet."
Philip - Jul 2022
"Absolutely lovely place staff very friendly cheerful and helpful would defo come back here"
Deb - Jul 2022
"Beautiful lodges so peaceful couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing time. The golf course whilst challenging was not kept very well and I don’t feel guests staying on the site should be expected to pay for the use of"
Jacqueline - Jul 2022
"Very nice and peacful"
