Folly Farm Holiday Park Reviews

"Just a fantastic weekend. Plenty to do - inside and out."
Verified Guest - Mar 2025
"Hood above cooker was thick with dust, everything else was great"
Verified Guest - Mar 2025
"Highly recommended. Our stay was excellent and we didn't want to leave! They really are luxury lodges, with attention to detail and a lovely local goodie bag on arrival. The handsoap and toiletries were also made locally and are divine! We stayed in the Torwen lodge which was spotlessly clean, decorated beautifully and had all the amenities needed. The hot tub was excellent! I love the fact that unlimited entry to folly farm comes with the lodge, including the day of arrival and departure. We had plenty of opportunities to see everything there, as well as a trip into Tenby and Haverfordwest. Plenty of food choices around, including takeaways. We had a Chinese from the Dragon Palace which was lovely and also offer delivery to site. Really wonderful week and the staff cant do enough. They are only the other end of the phone and made sure our stay was perfect. Thank you so much. We will most definitely be back soon!"
Verified Guest - Mar 2025
"Another awesome stay in the Simba Lodge. This is our second time and it was just as amazing as the first.....and we're already looking to book for next year too.Lodge was clean and fresh, everything we needed (but we did take extra towels as the hot tub was being used so often) well equipped kitchen, lovely toiletries in the bathroom and super comfy beds.Nice to have the smart TV and great WiFi.Only small criticism is that the couple of times we tried to use the shop it was shut. Totally understand that it's not viable to keep opne the whole time off season, but if you say it's open until 5pm then I'd hope to be able to go in at 4pm. Might be worth doing reduced hours rather than just closing? Really is only a tiny issue though and wouldn't stop us recommending or going back!"

"Incredible lodge our dog was spoilt rotten, private garden, very own dog welcome pack, bowls, towel and bed was a bonus. An exercise area which she loved! 100% recommend!"

"We were so pleased. Havent received quality service like this for a very long time. Cant wait to re book and return! Thank you so much for an amazing weekend"

"I stayed at Simba Lodge with my family and a family friend and had a fantastic experience. The accommodation and facilities were excellent, with access to both the amenities and the farm included in the booking. The staff were friendly and approachable, making our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it to my friends and family and am already planning another visit. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and spacious, adding to the overall comfort of our stay."
Bindu - Feb 2025
"Very nice stay. Good that a visit to folly farm included"
Verified Guest - Feb 2025
"We stayed in the fairground lodge, which was pet friendly, and we couldnt fault it. Very clean, and had everything we needed. They even left us a gift bag with a few goodies to get us through the week, including good quality butter, bread, milk, tea/coffee etc."
Kirsty - Feb 2025
"We absolutely love visiting (and staying at) Folly Farm. This is our third stay in their lodges having started with the carousel lodge, then SIMBA and most recently the Kifaru Lodge. Weve loved the stay each time and our kids (Aged 5&2) love the themed concepts of each. We booked the Kifaru lodge in the hope of being at the front overlooking the enclosure as the lodges are broken up (2 at front and 2 at back) all priced the same. Unfortunately we had a back lodge meaning the other lodges were in the way, disappointing for our kids who both were excited to be up close to the Rhinos. The unlimited access to the park is a huge bonus (especially during the UK winter months) worth roughly £100 per family of four each day and the staff across the whole site couldnt do enough for guests. We are already looking forward to our next visit."
Kris - Feb 2025
"The lodge was immaculate and looked brand new. All the linen was fresh and the beds were extremely comfortable"
Laura - Feb 2025
"Lovely wide open space, wanted to stay for longer! Can't fault it. Hot tub well maintained, beds comfy and rooms a great size!"
Verified Guest - Jan 2025
"We have just returned from another great holiday at Folly Farm. We stayed in a Kifaru Lodge which was very well equipped, cosy and comfortable. We had a lovely welcome pack which had all he essentials - milk, butter, bread, hot chocolate, tea, coffee waffles, Welsh cakes. The mattresses were very comfortable unlike some of the other lodges we have stayed in. The hot tub was great and checked daily. It was lovely visiting the park and seeing all the animals, which looked very healthy and happy. We had lots of fun in the Vintage Funfare too. Despite very high winds and inclement weather we had a great time. Only criticism was that the information book in the lodge was out of date e.g some of the restaurants no longer exist and the cost of the ride bands was incorrect."
Frances - Jan 2025
"We had a lovely weekend at Folly Farm Holiday Park. The lodge was spotlessly clean and very spacious. There was a lovely welcome hamper with essentials such as bread, milk, tea, coffee and some other treats. Facilities within the lodge were great, the only small negative would be that the hot tub was on the cooler side to ones we've had before, and there was nowhere to hang your towels when outside. There was no outdoor furniture either which would have been handy to out your towels on, or to sit on for morning coffee. We loved having unlimited access to Folly Farm - there was so much to do, so we were glad to have two days there as one wouldn't have been enough."
Verified Guest - Jan 2025

Karla - Oct 2024
"Great place for families with lots to do. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Staff at folly farm was extremely helpful and friendly"
Lee - Oct 2024
"We had a lovely family holiday at Folly Farm, staying at Folly View House just outside the park itself. The welcome we received on arrival was a lovely touch, with some delightful Welsh treats to help us settle in. The house was immaculately clean, with plenty of towels, toilet rolls, etc. provided in each room and bathroom. The kitchen was well-equipped, with ample plates, cups, and utensils for a large family. The dishwasher was a real blessing. The grounds around the house were immaculate, and as described, the hot tub was serviced daily to ensure the water was safe to use; we even saw the team empty it at the end of our stay. On the day of our arrival, we received a call to check whether we had settled in and to see if there was anything more they could do for us. There were only a couple of minor negatives, but nothing that caused any significant concern. One was the lack of provision of a firm, slightly elevated armchair in the lounge. The house has an accessible bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, which were perfect for my 84-year-old mother, with enough space for her mobility scooter. However, there was nowhere for her to sit comfortably in the lounge, as the furniture was all too low. Additionally, it would have been better to have single beds in the first-floor bedroom rather than bunk beds. As a result, two members of our party, both over six feet tall, had to sleep on the second floor, where the roof slopes significantly, meaning they could only stand upright in the middle of the room. As I said, these were small issues that didnt spoil the holiday but could be addressed to further improve the experience. The park itself was great for families of all ages and ability. Everywhere was clean and well maintained and we were impressed with the amount of indoor activities to cater for the British weather. Lastly the location of the park was great for visiting lovely seaside towns such as Tenby and Saundersfoot."
Carl - Sep 2024
"Great tents, clean and well facilitated. Great position, could just see the Rhino's from the porch and could hear the lions roaring which was nice."
Stephen - Sep 2024
"We had a wonderful stay at Folly View. The accommodation was very good and well equipped. We will definitely return."
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"Great lodge etc. The main issue is the lack of food facilities. Folly farm itself stops serving food too early that your stuck for options for dinner. Think you should look into this if you grow thw accommodation park."
Kelly - Aug 2022
"This was an enchanting experience with the wonderful facility of the webcams to be able to continue the attachment to the park. The park offered soo much with beautifully cared for animals and such a wonderful variety of entertainment, activity and education. Also to be able to visit for a few consecutive days made it really feel like home. We were a bit concerned about the loud volume of the music in the barn for the large mammals especially. We also hope that the white small pony, donkies and other ponies get time roaming green fields as were worried that they could get depressed in restricted circumstances with the aural oppressivness of the music. Of course it's only for part of the day - so as long as they do get outside some of the time... ??????"
Gill - Jul 2022
"A great place to stay with the added bonus of unlimited entry into Folly Farm Park to visit the animals."
Catherine - Jul 2022
"The park was amazing plenty to see and do adults and children were happy?"
Elizabeth - Jul 2022
"Lovely time, had 4 nights for just over £300 for 3 of us in the showmans wagon which was lovely, not too big or small but ideal for 3 people. We had entry to the park every day included, even the last day! Loaf of bread, toffee waffles, tea, coffee & pint of milk left for us. Lovely & clean! Park on site was a bit big for 2 year old but managed, could do with one down by the wagons mind. 1 light in the van was flickering but not a massive thing as we used the side light which was ample. Had to get most of the ice out of the little freezer in the fridge as it wasn't shutting very well. 1 or 2 of the rides weren't operating and most rides you have to be 1 metre tall. Co-op not far away & a bit further, you have b&m, tesco, kfc, mcd's and other shops. No pub on site or anywhere to purchase alcohol on site. Overall it was very good but limited if it is raining - there is an indoor play area, rides etc but not much else. Lots of animals to see & would definitely go again"
Eira - Jul 2022
"Lovely clean park, next Folly Farm, which is a great place if you have children. Warden was very helpful & gave us all the information we needed. Would certainly return for a future visit."
Sandra - Jul 2022
"folly farm is a good family attraction - plenty of things to keep the kid’s amused"
Lesley - Jul 2022
"We had 4 days of excellence so much to see and do"
Nicholas - Jul 2022
"Absolutely stunning accommodation, no faults! Quiet and so relaxing Hot tub was lovely No issues, can highly recommend."
Phyllis - Jul 2022
"Brilliant holiday. Had a lovely time and would definitely go again."
Krzysztof - Jul 2022
"Great place to stay, the lodges are new and the free entry to the park is fantastic. Folly Farm is brilliant for adults and kids of all ages. You realy can hear the lions roar and monkeys chatter when sitting on the balcony."
Timothy - Jul 2022
"Fab holiday fab location can't wait to return"
Daniel - Jul 2022
"Great holiday, the kids loved the farm park and the showmans wagon, the only negative for us was lack of storage space but we didn't let that get in the way of having a great holiday. All the staff were very friendly."
Craig - Jul 2022
"The lodge was beautiful and very clean. Hot tub was lovely but unfortunately due to the very warm weather it was set to high of temperature 38 degrees and no controls to adjust. The staff on the fairground rides was not helpful at all and made us feel like we were an inconvenience"
Dawn - Jun 2022
"Had a lovely weekend break in one of the wagons. The staff were fantastic and very helpfull. The wagon was spotless and even had a surprise breakfast hamper when we arrived. Having the tickets included in our stay was great as we come and went as we pleased and had plenty of time to do everything in folly farm a few times over. Would definitely recommend staying here."
