Ford Farm Lodges Reviews

"Great lodge, loved the hot tub and sauna."
Verified Guest - Oct 2024
"We have just spent a week here and it was just the downtime we needed. The lodge was immaculately clean and spacious and had everything you needed. Instructions on how to use the appliances would have been useful, but Sharon was really helpful and soon had us up to speed. Excellent location, peaceful and quiet. We will definitely return."

Steve - Aug 2024
"Lodge was superb, very well equipped, comfy beds, clean, and really spacious. All had lots of privacy and outdoor garden furniture. Great to be able to pull your car up outside the lodge.Loved the full sized toiletries provided also along with washing liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels etc and the delicious apple juice and bag ????"
Verified Guest - Aug 2024
"The kitchen was a joy to use and the local shops and pubs were lovely. You can even get fresh eggs from a house up the lane. Everything in the lodge was perfectly clean when we arrived. The hot tub was great to use after a busy day.Our only issue was a noisy bed, but Im sure the frame will have been tightened by now."
Jeanette - Aug 2024

Deborah - Jun 2024
"What a wonderful location picturesque, lots of lovely dog and family friendly walks. We spent one day in Ross doing a treasure hunt and picnic, while we spent another day relaxing and enjoying the sight. We had four generations with us and they all had a lovely time."
Sharon - May 2024
"The lodge was spacious very clean and wellsupplied. Free WiFi was an unexpected bonus for searching for places to visit. Also plenty of leaflets on the area and instructions on the microwave etc which I haven't seen for ages but was extremely welcome"
Gillian - May 2024
"Lovely large lodge quiet site nice area to visit would come back"
Gail - May 2024
"The only suggestion we have is the bed could do with some maintenance. It was very noisy."
Linda - Feb 2024
"Fantastic weekend all around Sharon and Will lovely peoples"

"Lovely lodge, good location, very clean, excellent facilities."
Verified Guest - Jan 2024
"Spent a lovely Christmas break here. Really clean chalets, up to date cooking facilities. Dishwasher and washing machine useful. Nice log burner, jacuzzi nice and clean and private. Sharon was really helpful when we couldnt quite work out the hob. All the staff really friendly."
Verified Guest - Dec 2023
"Lodge was spotless and couldn't fault it in that way.Has central heating and an electric heater. Did have to use the electric heater more often to stay warm as the central heating would go off. Plenty of storage space in kitchen and bathroom. The only issue I had was a lack of plug sockets in the bedrooms. Couldn't dry my hair in the bedroom as there wasn't a socket behind the dressing table so had to take the mirror and hair dryer into the kitchen to dry my hair ????.Beds were comfortable and we all slept well."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"The bed was a bit on the soft side for me and my wife. But that's our personal opinion.Shower was a good size. Very pleased in general."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Lovely place everything you could want lovely staff Sharon manager very friendly.Great place to celebrate 60th Birthday"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Really lovely lodge in a very peaceful setting. It had everything needed for a week away and the welcome pack had the essentials needed."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Lovely weekend break. We stayed in a semi detached lodge, with hot tub and the decking area was very private and enclosed which was excellent for our dog. The lodge was warm and cosy and very clean but there isnt a dishwasher which we really missed! Take a torch for night time as its pitch black outside the front of the lodge. We found it to be very quiet and peaceful, the country lanes and signposted footpaths are perfect for a dog walk but for more of a day out head to the Forest of Dean Beechenhurst or Symands Yat or walk up some of the Malvern hills, we did the Herefordshire Beacon and stopped off at Ledbury for a little wander. You really need the use of a car but everywhere we visited was within a 30 min drive."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"We had a very enjoyable, comfortable stay, the Dymock provided everything we needed. This was our first holiday with our dog and it was so nice for her to be welcomed with the towel and biscuit on arrival. The Dymock was the perfect size for 2 adults and provided everything we needed during our stay. The staff we met were lovely and helpful.Just a few points to mention.1. The shower head could not be height adjusted2. The Barbecue was unusable, the griddle was very rusty. it had obviously not been used for some time as it had cobwebs in and on it and dirt and leaves around the base. 3 The small veranda area was ok, except again there were a lot of cobwebs."
Deborah - Nov 2023
"Brilliant accommodation.Equipped with everything you could ever need & all high quality."
Rachel - Jul 2023
"Comfortable, clean, nice little shack."
Kingsley - Jun 2023
"We had a lovely time, and like I have said a perfect place to relax and place to get to other a attractions"
Emilio - May 2023
"Nice quit location comfy & homely lodge"
Philip - May 2023
"If you are looking for a beautifully furnished comfortable lodge in a quiet countryside
Location I would strongly recommend you look at this"
Helen - Aug 2020
"Peaceful location in the pretty Gloucestershire countryside. The lodge was well decorated, immaculately clean and everything worked as it should. Toiletries, bin bags, toilet roll and washing up equipment were provided along with tea towels. This is one of the best self catering lodges I have stayed in. There is one pub in reasonable walking distance where we had a good meal and this was a good base for us to visit Ross on Wye, WWT Slimbridge, Gloucester, Monmouth and Little Dean Jail."
Lisa - Aug 2022
"Perfectly situated to enjoy the Welsh Marches and Gloucestershire. Very comfortable lodge in an extremely quiet environment offering perfect and comfortable nights sleep."
Martyn - Aug 2022
"An excellent place to stay, Sharon (The Wardon) was very helpful and professional. The lodge we stayed in was clean and of a high standard, I would book a lodge there again in the future, a perfect retreat overall."
Verified Guest - Aug 2022
"Wow. One big chill out."
Ian - Jul 2022
"Great Lodge, in a very quiet and relaxing location. The lodge had everything we needed for our weekend away. The lodge was clean and tidy. We had a amazing weekend as a family and was perfectly located for us to visit all the places we planned to visit in the Cotswolds and surrounding area. Could not of asked for more!!"
Craig - Jul 2022
"Had great time, particularly loved hot tub."
Georgina - Jul 2022
"Sharon was a fantastic host, she could not have done more for us. The lodges were clean and fairly well equipped. The site was so peaceful and quiet. The cleaners were also fantastic. Can not speak too highly of the staff here. We will definitely be back."
Catherine - Jul 2022
"We had a fantastic stay at Ford Farm Lodges (we were in Kilcot Elite Spa 2, at the very end of the site). The lodge and site were immaculately kept. Sharon (the manager) and staff were all so friendly and helpful, with great suggestions on local walks and where to eat. The hot tub was excellent and much needed for aching joints after long walks! The nearest town, Newent, is two miles away and has a well-stocked Co-Op and Spar. The surrounding area is beautiful, with local walks straight from the lodge possible and the Malvern Hills, Wye Valley (visit Symonds Yat, it's a must!) and the heart of the Forest of Dean all only a few miles away. The only slight disappointment (and in no way related to the lodge owners) was the terrible state of parts of the local footpaths -- overgrown with nettles and/or brambles, broken styles and missing signs were all evident - some paths we simply had to give up on -- shame on the local councils for allowing this to happen! In contrast, the paths on and around the Malvern Hills and Wye valley were excellent. For eating out, we would recommend the Kilcot Inn (a 1 mile walk from the lodge), Alma Inn, Linton (a pleasant 2 mile walk from the lodge down very quiet country roads, also, walk back along ''The Ridge' for excellent views), The Kings Arms, Newent, and if you fancy excellent Nepalese food, 'The Roadhouse', Gorsley (a 1 1/2 mile walk from the lodge) We shall certainly be returning to this lodge site! Highly recommend :)"
Duncan - Jul 2022
"I have stayed in a lot of lodges and this one was by far the best. Immaculate inside and spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful went the Extra mile to help us settle in"
Katy - Jul 2022
"A wonderful and enjoyable stay.Sharon was just so welcoming.Peace and tranquility in a comfortable, clean modern lodge.Thank you for being so kind and helpful to us (and the dog) making our stay " Just Perfect"."
Linda - Jul 2022
"Spacious, clean lodge in a beautiful quiet location."
Robert - Jul 2022
"Had a fantastic time every think you need for a getaway"
Drew - Jul 2022
"Fabulous lodge, was extremely clean and exactly as described. Lovely little park and immaculate grounds. Would definately use again."
