King Richards Country Lodges Reviews

"The lodge was really cosy and super tidy, we felt totally secure there. The hot tub was a real highlight! Shops nearby made grabbing extra bits easy. Bill was so friendly and helpful, really appreciated it!"
Amelia - Aug 2020
"Nice little spot, peaceful and quiet. There are only ten lodges and space for motorhomes."
Emma - Aug 2020
"We loved the place, super tidy and peaceful. Lots to explore nearby, but having a car is definitely a plus for getting around."
Emma - Aug 2020
"We only spent two nights, even though we paid for four, but the place was spotless and modern. Gorgeous views and really peaceful. Bill was super friendly too!"
Emily - Jul 2020

Emma - Feb 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay here! The lodge was lovely, cleanand super cosy. We'll definitely come back."
Alex - Feb 2020
"We stayed at lodge number 3 for three nights and honestly, it was pretty great. The place was spotless and looked really nice. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there, from pots and pans to utensilsand having a dishwasher made life so much easier. The hot tub was top-notch and definitely the highlight-spent most evenings just relaxing in it before settling down to watch TV, which had all the channels we could want. Shops were nearby too, so grabbing supplies was no hassle. Overall, we had a lovely time and would happily come back!"
Emma - Feb 2020
"We stayed at this lodge recently and had a pretty good experience. The beds were super comfy, making it easy to relax after a day out. The kitchen was well-equipped, which was handy for cooking our meals. The hot tubs are quite visible from the outside, but we reckon they might get some privacy upgrades later on. The busy road nearby didnt disturb our sleep much, so thats a plus. One odd thing was the cash deposit - wouldve preferred it to be a card deposit, honestly. Overall, a nice stay!"
Sam - Jan 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay, just wish the hot tub was a bit more private."
Emma - Dec 2019
"Really enjoyed our stay, peaceful spot, spotless rooms, decent WiFi too! Will come back."
Emma - Dec 2019
"The stay was mostly great, but the first night was a bit disappointing since we couldnt use the hot tub. Honestly, the rules for it seemed a bit strict to us."
Alex - Nov 2019
"We really enjoyed our stay here! The lodges had everything we needed and, surprisingly, the noise from the main road was barely noticeable. The hot tubs were fantastic, although its a bit of a wait to get them heated up on the first night. Apart from that small thing, everything was spot on. Wed definitely recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!"
Emily - Nov 2019
"Our stay was a bit of a mixed experience, honestly. The lodge was pretty new and felt quite cosy, with nice furnishings that made it feel welcoming. The peaceful location was a real plus, perfect if you're after some quiet time. However, walking to a nearby pub isnt really practical since the site sits on a busy road, so youd need a car or be prepared for a bit of a trek. One of the more frustrating bits was the hot tub - it was cold when we arrived and took ages to heat up. When we called Bill, he sent someone out who wasnt exactly the friendliestand he made it clear he couldnt really be responsible for the heatings of all 10 hot tubs on site. It turned out to be an airlock, but it was around 7 pm before it started heating and wasnt usable until late morning. That was a bit disappointing since relaxing in the hot tub was one of the main reasons we booked. Also, on leaving, we found a Stanley knife behind a bed in the twin room - luckily no kids stayed in that room. Overall, its got potential but some things could definitely be better."
Charlie - Nov 2019
"Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was spotless and comfy."
James - Nov 2019
"The lodge was beautifully presented and had a really nice personal touch. The owners greeted us warmly and were super helpful. Sadly, we couldnt stay longer but definitely will next time!"
James - Sep 2019
"The location was peaceful and well-kept, with secure electronic gates giving us peace of mind. The lodge itself was spotlessand the hot tub was a real treat! The owner was super helpful whenever we needed anything. Wed definitely stay again!"
Emma Carter - Aug 2019
"Looking forward to returning"
Emma - Aug 2019

"A fantastic lodge with a lovely hot tub, the perfect setting for our relaxed girly weekend! The lodge was clean and mostly well equipped - could do with more than 1 set of crockery and cutlery. Smart TV and dishwasher were great to have and the robes and slippers are a nice touch. Can't wait to come back!"
Stephanie - Jul 2022
"Beautiful lodges, excellent customer service. Bill the owner was very pleasant and helpful if we had any issues. We did recommend he put more oven items in the kitchen. Overall it was a lovely experience and the hot tub was a bonus for the price we paid. Can't wait to go back, I would recommend to family and friends"
