Landal Clowance Reviews

"Lovely views from our woodl and cottage Could have done with full length mirror in a 3 bed? And no coat hooks by door but facilities good and everyone very helpful Massage by Debbie in Clowance Spa was excellent"
Monica - Mar 2025
"Lovely lodge. Plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 children. Everything you need for a relaxing break. Would highly recommend."
Lisa - Mar 2025
"Perfect lodge. Thank you!"
Sophie - Feb 2025
"We had a wonderful stay. So much to do on site and such beautiful grounds. The Sunday roast was lovely too."
Verified Guest - Jan 2025
"Our Landal Clowance review: Accommodation was a single storey cabin with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Spacious and clean. Decking area to front providing seating overlooking trees and field."
Babs - Jan 2025
"Lodge very clean and comfortable and nicely equipped for a short break. Kitchen decor slightly tired with some kitchen cupboard doors peeling, but overall a lovely large family space to stay!"
Leanne - Jan 2025
"Nice clean and modern accommodation. Well thought out design although upstairs sockets not working but light were, so not a big problem. Downstairs heater was showing a fault. We were asked to pay a £100 deposit which I am hoping comes back quickly."
Verified Guest - Jan 2025
"Upstairs bedroom, while comfortable, is really quite impractical. Site and accommodation are excellent overall."
Verified Guest - Dec 2024
"Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. The house was better than we expected and wed definitely come back in summer. That said, a few things could be improved. The TV was an old analogue model, so it wasnt much use for streaming or modern channels. The sofa was quite worn and low, so I mostly ended up sitting on the dining chairs or my bed. The master suite was pretty dark, especially around the dressing table, so better lighting would make a big difference. Also, there were no charging sockets near the bed - only two in the room, both connected to the TV and its box, which meant unplugging things if you wanted to charge your phone. Small issues, but theyd make the stay even better!"
Emily Carter - Nov 2024
"One of the most peaceful holidays I have ever had. The grounds are beautiful and the lodges really are luxury. Very clean , homey, with top of the range fixtures, fittings and appliances. The staff are friendly and helpful. We didnt use the spa or restaurant, but both looked lovely. Would definitely return and have already recommended Clowance to family and friends."
Colette - Nov 2024
"Great little lodge, mostly clean but could use some sprucing up."
Emma - Nov 2024
"The place was stunning, honestly. Only thing was the beds-they're quite low, which was a bit tricky at first. Once we were in, it was all good, just a bit of a struggle to get out!"
Claire - Oct 2024
"We loved our accommodation. It was a beautifully arranged lodge that had a slightly rustic feel with exposed wooden beams. The Kitchen area was easy to work with. Everything you needed was there in front of you. It was very clean & tidy. The bedrooms were lovely too with plenty of space & the beds wernt too narrow, which gave us all a good nights sleep. But the highlight was the view we were greeted with every time we walked into the living room area. Large windows allowing optimum light to flood in with the most beautiful backdrop of Tall mature majestic trees, which youd expect from an estate thats hundreds of years old but beautifully maintained. And with the sun shining straight in we wondered if wed ever find anywhere better. We often spent the morning outside on the decking with drinks just relaxing. We would definitely recommend it."
Verified Guest - Oct 2024
"Lovely staff gorgeous setting serenity"
Susan Johnson - Sep 2024
"Nice bar, lovely location. Tennis courts need updating but fine for people who just want a holiday knock around."
Kate - Sep 2024
"Had such a lovely stay, couldnt fault the resort. Loved the extra facilities on offer, including tennis, swimming and the gym etc. Lakeview Spa number 5 was beautiful, with a stunning view out onto the lake in front. Will definitely be returning in the future when visiting Cornwall."
Laura - Jun 2024
"Honestly, I wasnt expecting much, but the lodge totally blew me away! The space was fantastic-so much room to relax. The bed was comfy and it was well-equipped. Definitely converting from caravans to lodges after this trip. Lovely experience!"
Fiona - Apr 2024
"We had a fantastic stay at this lodge! The place was spotless-probably the cleanest we've ever experienced-and the lodge itself was fully equipped and comfortable. The outdoor seating area and hot tub felt br and new and were kept pristine. We appreciated how well we were kept informed about check-in procedures and when the lodge was ready, which made everything smooth. Housekeeping was really helpful with a missing item issue, resolving it quickly. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the whole site feels very cared for. A little tip-if you fancy using the restaurant or facilities, its a decent walk, so be prepared. The staff at the restaurant and bar were lovely, always cleaning and friendly. Food and drinks were really good. Perhaps some more signage for lodge numbers would help late arrivals. Overall, a top spot-we can't wait to come back!"
Emma Taylor - Mar 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the place was bright and super cosy."
Emma Carter - Mar 2024
"Absolutely loved it! The hot tub was fantastic-definitely the best we've ever had after lots of holidays. Highly recommend!"
Emma - Mar 2024
"Great place, we definitely plan to come back soon!"
Emily Carter - Jan 2024
"We had a lovely holiday overall. The on-site facilities are pretty fantastic, especially the swimming pool which was spotless and well-maintained. The lodge was spacious enough for our family; it had all the basics, though a few cushions and some new curtains would make it feel even fresher. The kids loved the restaurant, even if the menu was a bit limited and slightly pricey. The only issue was the hot tub area - there's a cover behind you, so you're mostly private, but from the balcony, you can see into other people's spaces, which isnt ideal when kids are changing. Still, we enjoyed our stay!"
Emma Carter - Jan 2024
"We recently stayed at Maplewyn and were really pleased with the whole experience. Upgraded to Finn lodge, which was a lovely surprise and the hot tub was such a treat! The place was spotless, spacious and felt really cosy. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful throughout. Perfect for celebrating special moments-thanks a lot!"
Maplewyn - Jan 2024
"Great experience, staff was super friendly and very helpful too."
Oliver Carter - Jan 2024
"The place felt pretty neglected, honestly. The dining chairs looked really worn out and shouldve been replaced ages ago. We also had a leak from the bathroom into the lounge, which wasn't great."
Emily Roberts - Dec 2023
"Water pressure was quite low, which was frustrating."
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"Really comfy lodge, felt new and fresh. Sadly, we didnt get a chance to try the restaurant, so no review there."
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, fantastic value for money. The only downside was the sofa bed."
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed the stay, friendly staff too"
Emma - May 2023
"Fantastic and relaxing sty in such a peaceful setting.let down by 2 things: golf course shut, when it had been advertised when we booked and the lodge we were is a little frayed at the edges. They didn’t detract from our enjoyment but took away from the polish when compared to the rest of the venue."
Ivor - Jul 2022
"Superb surroundings and settings. Exceptional lodge that was one of the cleanest I’ve stayed in. Staff on the resort were amazing. The restaurant was also top quality. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but, you get the quality you pay for."
Anthony - Jul 2022
"Absolutely fantastic place to stay. We stayed in the treehouse which was just amazing! Location was so central for days out. Would love to return and stay longer as there is so much to do and see! Highly recommend"
Laura - Jun 2022
"We had a fabulous stay , our lodge was amazing very clean bright and airy - a great design. Our wonderful meal in the restaurant on site offered local produce superbly cooked , the very friendly & knowledgeable staff added to our delightful evening. My only minus was the spa pool was too cold but the Jacuzzi was great."
Keith - Jun 2022
"All staff are polite, helpful and friendly. Restaurant food was fantastic experience"
Ashley - Jun 2022
"The location was a great mix of being peaceful and calm but still close enough to popular tourist hot spots for visiting. We had a great stay but did struggle with signal so the texts we were receiving from reception didn’t come through until we’d left the estate. We loved the lodge and hot tub and we loved walking around the estate feeding the birds and seeing the lake. The pool was fab and the changing facilities were clean. We’d love to come back in future."
Aimee - Apr 2022
"Staff aleays helpful and polite. Location is great."
Dan - Apr 2022
"Woodland lodge- Group of 8 Pro: Beautiful grounds, well equipped lodge, friendly staff, good restaurant and sports activities. Con: 24hr reception not contactable out of hours."
Chung - Apr 2022
"We enjoyed our stay. We were comfortable and enjoyed the hot tub. The only criticism would be lack of a mirror (outside of the bathroom one) had to style hair without a mirror. But everything else was great! Can’t wait to come back again!"

The Eden Project is a fantastic local attraction in Cornwall which will appeal to families and couples.  From the moment you step through the entrance it's clear that this is no ordinary attraction.  All under one roof you will find a giant rainforest, Horticulture courses, rock climbing, ice skating and an arts cafe.  Not all of these activities are on at one time, they are staggered throughout the year so check out the website to see what's available when you plan to visit.  Autumn at Eden is very popular with events such as daily apple pressing and Time Changing Tales (story telling with an autumn theme).
