Newperran Holiday Resort Reviews

"Getting to the caravan was a bit of a hassle in a wheelchair, especially when the grass was muddy and wet. The site could be more accessible. The caravan itself felt quite worn and tired in places, though the beds were really comfy. The disabled shower was spacious and easy to operate, which was great and the higher toilet seat with a lever was a good touch. However, the sink in the shower was a bit small, especially considering the rest of the space is quite generous but the sink doesnt match up. Still, it was decent overall."
Sarah - Feb 2025
"We found a few dead bugs under the sheets after pulling back all four quilts. It was pretty off-putting, so we decided not to sleep on the beds at all. Definitely not what we expected for our stay."
Emma - Oct 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was super clean, comfy and well-equipped. Two bedrooms with en-suites made it perfect for us."
Alex - Sep 2024
"We recently stayed at this site after booking what we thought would be a lovely getaway, especially since they advertise a star gazer experience that sounded absolutely dreamy. As regular travellers in Cornwall, weve stayed in quite a few luxury caravans and sites, so we like to compare and see whats out there. Honestly, this place didnt quite meet expectations at all. From the moment we arrived, it was tricky to find our caravan. We spent ages walking around trying to spot it and honestly, the outside looked so dirty and neglected that we nearly missed it a few times. Once we finally got inside number 46, we were pretty shocked. It looked like the photos, sure, but it was filthy! The place was a mess and we had to spend the first hour cleaning the whole thing just to make it somewhat liveable. We get that dogs are allowed, but the amount of hair everywhere was unbelievable - sofas, floors, you name it. The cupboards were even filled with other people's food, like no one had bothered to tidy up or clean before our arrival. There was no milk, which was supposed to be there as per the booking and the fridge was broken - food just wouldnt stay cold. We had to flick the plastic part inside the fridge every time we shut the door to try and keep the cold air in, which was a bit of a pain. The electric kept tripping all the time, which was really frustrating. We had to go to the bar to find someone to help us and to be fair, the staff member there was lovely and tried her best to help. When the electrician arrived, he said the issue was because they were moving between different electric points and the old ones couldnt handle the power load. He showed us what to do if it happened again, but honestly, if that was the case, I dont see why theyd even have that caravan available. It kept tripping at night, causing the fridge to warm up and food was wasted because of it. The Wi-Fi was another disappointment - in 2024, youd think reliable internet would be standard, but nope. The signal was virtually non-existent, which made planning days, using Google Maps, or even watching Netflix impossible. We dont usually rely heavily on data, but without any internet or a smart TV, it was a nightmare, especially with two kids. We were stuck with only basic TV channels. The facilities on-site werent much better - the swimming pool was old and not very clean and the arcade games were broken or, in some cases, stole money. We lost about £4 on one game and honestly, we didnt even bother arguing about it. It just felt like a waste of energy. Overall, for what we paid - over £2,000 for a week - it was utterly not worth it. Weve paid much less elsewhere, with better amenities like jacuzzis and more modern facilities. We feel pretty ripped off and will be filing a formal complaint. This is honestly the first time Ive ever been so disappointed with a holiday and I accept that sometimes things arent perfect, but this place was just terrible. Definitely not recommended and I wouldnt come back."
Emma Carter - Aug 2024
"Our Newperran Holiday Resort review: Overall, we had a decent break, but there were quite a few issues. No Wi-Fi was a real letdown, especially in this day and age. The pool closing at 4pm felt a bit odd and there was no entertainment in the evening, which was disappointing. Prices seem to be going up, but the standards arent quite matching-they need to reflect whats actually on offer. Also, the recycling bins werent clearly marked, so we got confused. Come on, its 2024-lets do better for the planet!"
Emily Roberts - Aug 2024
"Really happy with it overall"
Emma - Jun 2024
"Wonderful experience, highly recommended!"
Emma Carter - May 2024
"We had a lovely holiday despite the weather turning sour, plenty to do!"
Emma Carter - May 2024
"We loved the lodge! Its so welcoming and warm, with plenty of space. The outdoor area was perfect for our dog-secure decking and comfy seats. Definitely recommend it!"
Emma - Apr 2024
"We had a really lovely stay at the lodge, with stunning views that made waking up quite special. Its a perfect spot for a long weekend, especially if you want to unwind after busy days out exploring. The only thing was, our lodge didnt have a gate on the balcony for the dog, which was a bit of a let-down, but overall, wed come back!"
Emma - Mar 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect for exploring-Perran Beach is just a short drive and Newquay isn't far. However, if you want to walk everywhere, it might not be ideal."
Chris - Mar 2024
"The lodge was stunning and br and new, honestly one of the nicest we've ever stayed in. The pet pack was a lovely surprise! Only thing missing was outside furniture, but with the weather, it wasnt an issue at all."
