Ruda Reviews

"Pet free caravans should be as advertised! People can be allergic to dog hair hence they look for a pet free caravan! Ours had loads of dog hair when we swept the floor (and carpet) on our first morning!"
Amii M. - Nov 2024
"Lacking a few things. Could do with flagging this on welcome email and there was a blocked drain in one of the showers but all in all super comfy and everything we needed."
Verified Guest - Nov 2024
"The caravan was old in places."
Verified Guest - Nov 2024
"over all no problem"
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"We did take dogs and were not expecting The Ritz. However, the static home was:1) Very tired.2) Not clean (floors grimy and sticky).3) No equipment to clean the floors (I.e.; vacuum cleaner and a mop).So bad that, because the weather had broken, cut the holiday short as we could not face another night in the accommodation."
Mark Armston - Sep 2024
"Very old caravan, needs upgrading, everything dirty and falling apart, only good thing was the location"
Lucy - Aug 2024
"Lovely caravan but doors wouldnt lock"
Amy - Aug 2024
"Croyde Bay is an amazing beach one of the best we have been to. The place we stayed no.29 was a short walk to the beach. On the day of arrival, swimming was all booked up, so I would say if you can to pre book if you want to go swimming. WiFi was rubbish and you had to pay extra for good WiFi. Take a bath mat for the shower as the water goes everywhere. Remember towels. Place could of been cleaner was quite dusty & we found 2 pairs of pants & a t-shirt! Shop onsite & amusements was great to have. Having said all that we would definitely go back."
Clare - Jul 2024
"Was upgraded caravan so very happy with accomodation"
Leon - Jul 2024
"We had 4 people in a caravan that could accommodate 8 - spacious for us!Had everything we needed. 2 bathrooms were essential!"
Verified Guest - Jul 2024
"Stunning views, nice walks around"
Verified Guest - May 2024
"The caravan came with a fridge and full size freezer. Very spacious and wide. Outside decking area secure with table and chairs. The kitchen had everything in for a family microwave, cooker, toaster etc. The 3 bedrooms good size with plenty of storage space. Bathroom big with a shower sink toilet etc. There was another toilet bonus wen you got children. Hairdryer included and bedding."
Leanne - May 2024
"Old, rusty, filthy outside furniture and rubbish on the grass. Smelled musty inside. Cleaners did do a good job with what they were working with inside."
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"See previous comments!"
Kevin - Apr 2024
"Spacious caravan, great to have 3 bedrooms and heating. The caravan was clean And had everything we needed. It was a bit tired, but it was also very cheep so it was much better than I thought it might be."
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Lovely big Lodge, plenty of space for children to play inside and out. Spacious bedrooms and bathroom. Lots of storage space for clothes."
Carly - Apr 2024
"Great comfy caravan.Double with dressing table area and toilet en suite.2 small twins but fit for purpose.Beds all made on arrival. Radiator heating and nice electric fire place in the kitchen. Heating was very effective. All new crockery, cutlery and plenty of pots pans and utensils. Majority of sockets had USB points which was handy. 2 nice comfy sofas, didnt use as a bed so cannot comment on that. Small verandah to the side which wouldBe nice in the summer (we went in wet and windy February)."
Louise - Feb 2024
"Mi e caravan could do with a few extra bowls and trays in the kitchen"
Verified Guest - Feb 2024
"Comfy caravan. The shower was unbearably hot with no way of adjusting but everything else was great"
Rosie - Feb 2024
"We stayed in lodge 33. The hot tub didn't work, doors didn't shut, mattress was faulty, blinds were broken or too small, grimy, lacking kitchen utensils and equipment, I could go on..... Staff fixed what they could but this took time away from our holiday and was very stressful. It should never have been let. Very tired lodge, needs time and money spent on it. We won't book again."
Verified Guest - Feb 2024
"The lodge was in a beautiful part Decking needs some maintenance as very bouncy in areas Inside was spacious door handles need replacing and doors need adjusting as they dont shut fully Integrated fridge was broken so replaced with a free standing one which was fine but left a big gap which they filled with a bin with the lid broken The gas cooker top one knob was broken so couldnt get to turn off"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Caravan had a few faults, lights did not work in main bedroom, reported this, someone came and a a quick look & said they would get an electrician, nobody returned at all to fix the lights.Big cobwebs in main bedroom, piece of the roof beading in kitchen hanging down.Apart from that had a great holiday."
Andrew - Nov 2023
"As expected, with the usual fixtures and fittings. However, the caravan door didn't close properly there was a large gap at the top, good job it was n't cold!"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Lovely caravan. Very comfortable. Only disadvantage was you had to walk over the grass to get to the caravan which meant wet muddy feet."
Anne - Nov 2023
"We were very disappointed with our caravan. It was tired with stains on the dining room furniture seats. Crockery was wet in the cupboard and pots and pans needed washing before use. The double doors to the veranda wouldnt shut properly so the curtains would Billow out from the draft. The curtains kept falling off the rails when trying to close them in the evening. We never used the restaurant apart from a hot drink so cannot comment further on that.Excellent view from the caravan windows and Croyde Bay beautiful.Have had beautiful caravans with you in past but may not book again."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"We had an amazing time!Absolutely loved everything about this holiday! Really clean and comfortable, spacious caravans. Great on site facilities and a stunning area to explore and admire. Beautiful!!"
Michelle - Nov 2023
"caravan was really nice, only negatives was the single beds were very small and the mattress on the double has long past its best so nit a great sleep. We were only able to book in swimming once as it booked out straightaway which was disappointing for the kids.Lovely beach, onsite shop was handy."
Nicola - Nov 2023
"Fabulous lodge very up-to-date not far to the beach really nice"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Amazing holiday in north Devon. The Beach was walking distance from our caravan and plenty to do for children. Would highly recommend the holiday park to others. It was clean and well kept. Swimming pool could do with being updated, looked a bit tired. My only other criticism is the allocation of our caravan. It was very noisy by a main road and there was a road behind our caravan as well where work traffic for staff at the park. We have a child with additional needs who struggles with noise and an anxious dog to noise who was with us on the holiday. Our child wore ear defenders to help with the noise. Would have liked a quieter location on the park and something for staff to consider when allocating caravans."
Kelly - Nov 2023
"Didn’t use the on-site restaurant. Did have Fish and chips from the Fish and chippery, which were tasty and reasonably priced."
Peter - Jul 2022
"The caravan was clean and the reception staff were helpful however the club area where the ordering system has to be done via an app is frustrating at best and each time I used it the order had something missing when it arrived, poor or just trying to rip of the customer?"
Dennis - Jul 2022
"Great location, lovely clean caravan and contactless check in/out. We really liked the Italian on site. Staff were mostly great with a few exceptions (the shop). Overall we had brilliant week."
David - Jul 2022
"Great location right by the beautiful beach and bay"
Anthea - Jul 2022
"Stayed on a 3 night break. Accommodation was spotless and very comfortable. Site was clean and tidy."
