Windwhistle Lodge Reviews

Emma - Oct 2024
The lodge feels super cosy and has all the essentials for a comfy stay. It’s tucked away in such a peaceful spotand the hot tub is perfect for unwinding after exploring. The enclosed garden is a real bonus for the dogs. We loved it!
Emma Carter - Aug 2024
Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The owners were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Perfect spot for exploring Exmoor. We’re already planning to come back when we get the chance!
Emma Clarke - Aug 2024
The cottage was really lovely, spacious and in such a peaceful spot. It’s just a quick drive to Sainsbury’sand the fully enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. The owners were super friendly. Only thing was some of the equipment could probably do with an upgrade, but overall we loved it!
Emma - Jul 2024
We had a lovely stay! The weather was gorgeous and hot, which meant the hot tub didn’t get much use, but it was a lovely touch. The place was very peaceful, just the sheep’s bleating in the background. The owners were really friendly and respectful of our privacy. Only minor things - the double bed and sofas weren’t the comfiest and looked a bit worn. The outside seating was quite basic too, just a table and benches that weren’t very comfy. Still, we really enjoyed our holiday overall!
James - Jul 2024
We had a lovely stay here! The hosts are super friendly and always nearby if you need anything. The place feels just like home, cosy, cleanand well thought out. The hot tub in the garden is a real treat after a day exploring. Plus, the fenced garden’s perfect for dogs-safe and spacious. We’ve been coming back for three years nowand it’s always a hit. Highly recommend!
James - Jul 2024

Absolutely loved the lodge! Plenty of room for four, super cleanand well stocked. The hosts were fantastic and really friendly. The location was perfect-quiet but with loads to explore nearby within half an hour. We’re already planning our next visit!
Samira - May 2024
We had a fantastic stay at The Lodge! The place was spotless and well organised, making everything feel comfy. The hot tub was such a treat after a long day exploring-absolute bliss! The garden was huge and secure, perfect for our dog Bella to run around freely. Steve and Lucy were lovely hosts, very respectful of our privacy and quick to help if needed. We’ll definitely be coming back, can’t wait!
Emma - Mar 2024

We’d definitely come back!

We had a lovely weekend celebrating my sister’s 40th. The dogs absolutely loved the gardenand the sunrises and sunsets were stunning. The hot tub with the Bluetooth speaker was a real treat. Easy to find and super helpful info. We’d definitely come back!
Emma - Oct 2023
We had such a lovely stay at Windwhistle Lodge! The peaceful surroundings and stunning nature made it really special. I’ve travelled quite a bit, but this was definitely one of the most relaxing holidays we’ve had. And Bella had a great first doggy break too!
Emma - Oct 2023
We had a lovely stay at the lodge; it’s surprisingly spacious and super comfy. Everything we needed was there, especially the well-equipped kitchen. Even with just the two of us, there was plenty of room to relax. The hot tub was definitely the highlight-used daily and loved by our daughter. It’s perfect for winter too, with heating and endless hot water for baths and showers. Fingers crossed we can come back in the Spring, we really enjoyed it!
Emma - Sep 2023
Beautiful farm stay, perfect for unwinding away from city life. The hot tub really tops it off nicely, we loved every minute!

After days of wandering the north Devon coast and countryside, this place was just what we needed. The hot tub was a lovely touch to relax in the evenings.
