"Our Windmill Retreat review: A wonderful family get away. The lodge was luxurious, and stocked with everything you need. Comfy beds & linen, towels & robes. The surprise welcome treats were greatly appreciated.Both adults and the Kids loved having the hot tub which was maintained daily. Great location for exploring the area, with many great days out. "Oak Lodge had everything we needed for a perfect Christmas get away. Every detail was thought of including a bright and welcoming Christmas tree. Very spacious for a family of five with plenty of room to socialise and rest.The hot tub was a very cosy bubbly delight.Id like to try the spa and restaurant on another occasion outside of the Christmas holiday period as understandably everything was closed.A wonderful country get away I would definitely recommend."

"We recently stayed at Hazel View Lodge and it was amazing! I would 100% recommend this lodge and windmill retreat to anyone. From arriving the staff were wonderful and really friendly. The lodge has a space to park 2 cars which is amazing and something I couldnt find prior to booking. The spaces next to the lodge are quite steep but the staff were really friendly and happy to help where they can. We enjoyed the lovely welcome gift and was pleasantly impressed to see how well equipped the lodge is. They have truly thought of everything. The beds were super comfy and the showers were great! We enjoyed the hot tub too and overall had a great experience and hope to come back and visit again some time."

"Everything about this holiday was excellent. The ease of checking in with friendly helpful staff. The beautiful food in the on-site restaurant. The lodge was so well located with stunning views. It was warm and cosy, very clean, such a wonderful welcome pack including bubbles. So many extras added, like gowns to wear to and from the hot tub. The beds were so comfortable and the overall space in the lodge was so good. The lodge was clean to the highest of standards. We will definitely be returning very soon."

"We stayed at this quirky upside-down house and really enjoyed it. The place was spotless and clearly well looked after. The robes for the hot tub were a lovely touch - made us feel special! Theres a small cafe on-site, which we grabbed lunch from when we arrived. The only thing we missed was a cafetiere and a teapot, but the coffee machine was handy enough. Overall, a great stay!"

"Just back from a long weekend, we did pay for a travel cot and high chair which wasn’t in the cottage when we arrived but we went to the spa and they called someone who quickly sorted.
Cottage was lovely, lots of space and outdoor space.
For anyone who hasn’t done anything like this before remember to pack, toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, salt, hand wash (I expected them to have some in the kitchen). Maybe a sharp knife they were all blunt and we really struggled to cut anything. Also a very sensitive smoke alarm, unless it was just our cooking :)
Check out at 9am was so early when you have 3 families and kids to organise.
All in all we had a lovely stay would recommend."

"We stayed here the night before a wedding as the bridal party and the Bride and Groom then stayed at the lodge the night of the wedding. The staff were really helpful and the lodge was lovely. Everything was really clean and modern. There are more than enough towels, robes and crockery provided. It was a nice and easy check-in process, the hot tub, showers and other facilities were lovely.
