Oathill Farm Lodges Reviews

"Very peaceful location. Well kept grounds. Nice shower block.
The only downside is the lodges have no gas so all is electric, and the first £15 of use is included - the rest you have to pay for. Carol did explain this beforehand though and she rang us to go through our bedding/sleeping needs a week before."
Christopher - Feb 2020
"Excellent. All extremely helpful
Could have left dishwasher tablets...one per day stay "
James - Sep 2018
"Would and will go again."
Julie - Sep 2018
"My wife and I had one of our best holidays ever. The friendly, good natured welcome we received will stay with us for a long time! Our lodge was spotless, the site quite central to our needs and there was plenty to do and see. We would recommend Oathill to anyone who asks."
Donal - Jul 2018
"The cabin did not have a shower , only a bath.
eventually, I decided to go across to the shower units.
They are amazingly good, Very clean, well equipped.
I was truly impressed. Has the weather was glorious,
this didn't bother me. If it was cold an other matter.
Then a warm bath would be fine."
Rita - May 2018
"As above - excellent lodge facilities"
Sarah - Aug 2017
"From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Log cabin was spacious, clean and tidy. Loved our stay a, would stay again and would recommend to friend's and family."
Katie - Aug 2017
"We really had a lovely holiday at Oathill and would recommend to friends"
Claire - Jul 2017
"Great location, quiet. Friendly owners and staff, very welcoming.
Would book again."
Amanda - Sep 2016
"Lovely lodge, nice park. I have only one disappointment in the brochure it said that there was a dvd player while this was true it was in the second bedroom and there was no seats to sit and watch and films it would have been nice if this could be located in the living area."
Isabel - Sep 2016
"Only thing I would say...could have done with a shower in the lodge rather than a bath, but the on-site showers were excellent."
Miriam - Sep 2016
"Superb setting, great location for visiting Dorset and Somerset, excellent lodges, modern and fully equipped with everything you need. Very friendly family run, made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Lovely tearoom on site. Excellent place for a quiet relaxing holiday ."
Alison - Apr 2016
"Holiday was great, lovely county"
Martin - Sep 2015
"Beautiful lodge and lovely place with friendly, helpful staff. Only improvement would be a stand up shower."
Ella - Jul 2015
"My wife and I couldn't fault the lodge that we were assigned to.
One suggestion, is to remove the second toilet and put in a shower cubicle. This would then make these lodges more desirable, and draw in more customers in the future.
Apart from the lack of a shower cubicle, this lodge had everything that was required, a real home from home."
Graham - May 2015
"The lodge was lovely, could have done with somewhere closer for the coats, although we didn't need them this trip!"
Katherine - Apr 2015
"Absolutely stunning lodge. I only knocked one mark off for fittings due to the hand shower in the bathroom not working (it kept flying off the taps) therefore we couldn't have a shower. It hasn't put us off though, the lodge is great."
Amy - Sep 2014
"Very good holiday in Dorset. Nice centrally located lodges"
Mark - Aug 2014
"Had everything we needed and when we advised we didn't have a kettle they solved the issue immediately!"
Kimberley - Jul 2014
"Definitely one of the best lodges we stayed in. All mod cons. Very spacious. Quiet location. Nice breakfast at Lucys tea rooms which is on the site."
Sue - Jul 2014
"Very peaceful location. Well kept grounds. Nice shower block.
The only downside is the lodges have no gas so all is electric, and the first £15 of use is included - the rest you have to pay for. Carol did explain this beforehand though and she rang us to go through our bedding/sleeping needs a week before."
Christopher - Jan 1970
"A thoroughly great holiday, just perfect for us. The weather was very kind to us and there were plenty of places to walk to or drive to and none a great distance.
Definitely will return."
Sheila - Jan 1970

Andrew - Jul 2022
"A lovely lodge in a rural setting but within reach of the coast and main towns of Somerset and Dorset. We had a very warm welcome from the site managers and we were impressed with how tidy and clean they kept the site. Thank you to them also for the information they gave us about walks in the locality. It really made our holiday one to remember."
Pauline - Jun 2022
"Our stay at Oathill was absolutely lovely, we will be back. Owners super friendly, lodge was spotless 100%"
Laura - Jun 2022
"Perfect place for a relaxing holiday. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Lack of internet access was a mixed blessing. Thoroughly recommended."
Ron - Jun 2022
"Warm welcome, lovely quiet spot."
Donna - Jun 2022
"Had a very enjoyable and relaxing week at Oathill. The hot tub was great and checked daily to ensure the water quality was good. I feel the lodge would benefit from a proper shower instead of the tap attachment, although we used the onsite showers and due to only the lodges being in use there were no queues, but I can imagine them being very busy once more tents/caravans were on the site. The dog walking field is a great idea, ours especially enjoyed a run off lead, despite running into a wire fence due to the long grass on the perimeter! We will definitely return one day ?"
Amanda - Jun 2022
"We had a fabulous time at Oat Hill Farm, staying in Cherry Tree lodge. The setting was peaceful and beautiful and we would have liked more time to explore the area. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Our only query was although we enjoyed meeting the emus on the farm, we decided against following the footpath through their field as we weren't sure if they would have welcomed us!"
Clare - May 2022
"My two sisters and I booked this for a weekend getaway and it was everything we hoped for. the facilities were great and the hot tub very welcome. Everything was clean and comfortable and I'd definitely look to come back again even if we did it the traditional camping way."
Caroline - May 2022
"Beautiful lodge in small but stunning grounds. Ideal for a quiet break. Lodge was immaculate and was very well equipped. Very clean and had wow factor when first entered property. Grounds immaculate. Manager came to see if we were happy.Would return again."
Valerie - May 2022
"Lovely peaceful location, very well looked after, See you again soon."
Steve - May 2022
"Beautiful Place, Lovely staff who gave really good tips on where to go in the areas around, Amazing lodge in general, even came with a Hot Tub which we werent expecting! Well maintained and didnt want to go home!"
