Northolme Reviews

Suzanne - Nov 2024
Great place. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Fantastic location with many beach walks on the doorstep ( loved by our dogs). Would highly recommend
Dean - Sep 2024
Well equipped property. Very spacious lounge space and great patio for relaxing on. Hot tub was fantastic and location couldnt be more perfect!
Roland - Aug 2024
The property was well furnished with all the necessary equipment for self catering. It was also perfectly located close to the beach and good eating establishments. There are lots of beautiful local attractions within easy reach by walking and/or car. Overall a very good and pleasant experience was had by the whole family from 5 to 75.
Gareth - Jul 2024
Excellent accommodation. Lots of space, very clean and well equipped. . Hot tub is a great addition. Location great, 5 min walk to beach, and harbour. . Great base for exploring Northumberland. . Everywhere is dog friendly. Great communication from owner. Would definitely recommend. 10 out of 10.
Claire - Jul 2024
We have stayed in Northolme before about 6 years ago , when it was a brand new property. The house,is really well equipped. Location cannot be faulted being so near Beadnell beach. Main thing we noticed was the rise in prices in eating out in the surrounding area! Better to buy in and make use of the kitchen facilities.
Linda - May 2024
The setting of this property is stunning, Beadnell is indeed an AONB. The Landings pub is great for food and drinks. The property is not 5 star and if you pay even more money for the use of the hot tub, there is no privacy as it is not screened in any way and overlooked by numerous other properties. The second bedroom is very cramped and some of thRead moree furniture that has been upcycled is chipped. Both showers were standard mira electrics and had very little power. Star rating should be reviewed. Hide
Simone - May 2024
Wonderful location very close to the beach and walking distance to local pub and shop. Well equipped cottage with everything we needed for a 3 generation family celebration, including hot tub and tennis court! Great communication from owner. Fantastic holiday!
James - May 2024
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Northolme, such a lovely property. The property is very well equipped in all areas inside and out, the owner has thought of everything. The property is welcoming, very comfortable and in a fabulous location. Ideal for beach lovers (couple of minutes walk), for walkers, as a base to visit villages/towns in the area Read moreor just relax on the decking area with a drink. Lovely property, relaxing week, good weather, will definitely stay again. Jimmy & Family May 24 Hide

Perfect location 5 minutes to the fabulous beach and a dog friendly restaurant for breakfast. Good central location for travelling round the area. The house has everything you need/could think of and was very clean with plenty of seating/dining space for 4 adults and 2 big dogs.

Lovely location. 2 min walk to beach. Not 5 star. Not big enough to sleep 8 people. 3 double rooms. Should be 6 people max. One room had bunk beds and double bed - too small to move around. House cluttered with furniture and storage boxes. No drawers in main bedroom only small wardrobe. Small mirrors in ensuite and main bathroom. Claire - Nov 2023
Wonderful house, really tastefully decorated in a perfect location. Plenty of comfortable seating for our extended family trip away. Great facilities with lots of thoughtful items included in the property to make our stay very comfortable.
Jo - Aug 2023
Lovely space for a weeks holiday. Really well equipped place as a whole with lovely bed linen and kitchen knives that actually work (better than mine at home!). The house is 5 mins to Beadnell Beach, which is a bay, so safe, warm and shallow and really good for kids. Also clean and dog-friendly. The pizza place just by the beach entrance is amazing ! Beadnell Towers well worth a visit for its fab food and drink. Theres so much to see in this neck of the woods well certainly be back!
Erica - Jul 2023
Lovely house, brilliant location and had everything we needed. Anita was also really helpful whenever we had any questions. The hot tub was great and everything was really comfortable. Used the tennis courts lots and easy access to beach. Very dog friendly with outdoor hose too.

Lovely clean, comfortable house, two minutes walk from the beach. I wish I could come and live here.
Kath - May 2022
We arrived late on the 20th of May got halfway up the A1 and remembered Id left something at home, one hour to get back home in an hour to get back onto the A1. There was teabags and coffee but no milk, so before we unpacked went into Seahouses to get some milk. Its a beautiful house and quite spacious, some beautiful walks on your doorstep fell in love with the kitchen and the French Bedroo A lovely bit of luxury, all the beds were great good mattresses and pillows. Would definitely go again.

Cragside House and Gardens - NE65 7PX

Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out.  Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals.  Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit.  The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.
Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT

Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
