Northolme Reviews

Emma - Nov 2024
Really enjoyed our stay, the flat was spotless and cosy. Perfect spot for beach walks-our dogs loved it! Definitely recommend this place.
Jamie - Sep 2024
The place was really well kitted out, with a huge lounge and a lovely patio to chill on. The hot tub was a real highlightand the location was spot on!
Oliver - Aug 2024
We really enjoyed our stay! The place was well equipped for self-catering and had everything we needed. The location was ideal, just a short walk to the beach and some lovely restaurants nearby. Plenty of local sights to explore, whether on foot or by car. Overall, a lovely experience for our whole family, from kids to grandparents.
Alex - Jul 2024
We had a fantastic stay! The place was spacious, spotlessand really well stocked. The hot tub was a lovely bonus. Perfectly located just a short walk to the beach and harbour. Loved that it’s dog friendly. Communication was top-notch. Would definitely stay again!
Emma - Jul 2024
We visited Northolme again after around six yearsand it’s still a lovely spot. The house is super well equipped - makes a big difference. Being so close to Beadnell beach is a real bonus. We did notice dining out costs have gone up quite a bit, so it’s smarter to buy groceries and cook in. Absolutely loved our stay!
Emma - May 2024
We loved the stunning location in Beadnell, such a beautiful AONB! The Landings pub offers really good food and drinks, definitely a plus. However, the property isn’t quite 5-starand paying extra for the hot tub isn’t worth it since it’s so open and overlooked by other places-no privacy at all. The second bedroom is pretty smalland some of the upcycled furniture has chips. The showers were disappointing-low pressure from Mira electric units. Overall, the star rating should be reconsidered.
Emma - May 2024
We loved the spot! Just a short walk to the beachand the cottage had everything we needed for a family get-together - hot tub, tennis courtand all the essentials. The owner was really helpful. We had a fantastic break!
Emma Clarke - May 2024
We had a fantastic time at Northolme! The place is really well set up, with everything you could need both inside and out. The owner has clearly put a lot of thought into making it comfortable and welcoming. The location is perfect for beach days, just a short walk awayand great for exploring nearby villages or just chilling on the decking with a drink. We enjoyed a relaxing week in lovely weather and can’t wait to come back. Definitely a place we’d recommend!
Emma - Apr 2024
We loved how central it was, just a quick 5-minute walk to the lovely beach and a dog-friendly cafe for breakfast. The house was spotless, had loads of space for four of us and the dogsand had everything we could possibly need. Definitely recommended!
Emma Barnes - Dec 2023
The location’s great, just a couple of minutes to the beach, which was lovely. But honestly, it’s not a 5-star place and definitely not big enough for 8 people. We’d say max 6, especially since one room has bunk beds and a double - really cramped! The house was cluttered with furniture and storage boxesand there are no drawers in the main bedroom, just a tiny wardrobe. The showers and mirrors are smalland the kitchen appliances are quite limited for a group. Overlooked too, so not ideal for privacy. Disappointing overall.
Emma - Nov 2023
This place is lovely, beautifully decorated and in a prime spot. We loved the cosy seating areas, perfect for our family gathering. The thoughtful touches and good facilities really made our stay enjoyable. Would definitely return!
Sarah - May 2023
We had a fantastic time! The property was of such high quality, we loved every minute of our stay and would definitely want to come back.
Emma - Dec 2022
What a fabulous holiday cottage! The location is excellent, just a short stroll to the beach and a lovely pub, which was a real bonus. It was spotlessly clean when we arrivedand the hot tub was a big hit! The kitchen was well equipped, making it feel just like home. We especially appreciated that our dog was welcome tooand even had dog bowls provided. We had an excellent weekend, thanks!
Lucy - Nov 2022
What a fabulous location and property! It really has everything you need for an amazing holiday. We loved it!
Emma - Jun 2022
Such a lovely, clean and comfortable house, just a couple of minutes walk from the beach! Honestly, we wish we could just move in here.
Claire - May 2022
We arrived late on the 20th of May and got halfway up the A1 when we remembered we left something at home. So, we had to turn back for an hour and then get back onto the A1. There were teabags and coffee, but no milk, so before unpacking, we went into Seahouses to grab some milk. The house is beautiful and quite spaciousand there are lovely walks right on your doorstep. We fell in love with the kitchen and the French Bedroom! It’s such a lovely bit of luxury. All the beds were great with good mattresses and pillows. We would definitely go again.
Rebecca - Mar 2022
We really enjoyed our stay at the holiday home! It was very comfortable and warmand we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect for us too, close to everything we wanted to explore. Would definitely recommend it to others!
Clara - Feb 2022
This house is really lovelyand the location is just wonderful! The equipment and facilities are top notch, plus the communication with the owner is excellent. We’ll definitely be back (if they’ll have us!)
Jake - Oct 2021
We found the accommodation really comfortable and spacious in a lovely area. It's just a two-minute walk to a beautiful beach. We had a great meal at the Craster Arms pub. Would definitely recommend it!
Emily - Sep 2021
What a lovely house in a great location! It’s just a very short stroll to the nearest sandy beachand we can also walk to the village shop, pub, restaurantand cafe. It’s perfectly positioned for exploring the Northumberland coast.

With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out.  Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals.  Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit.  The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.

Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
