Percy Wood Golf and Country Park Reviews

"Really enjoyed our stay! The place felt brand new and super comfy. Only thing missing was a coffee table in the lounge, would have been perfect."
Emma - Mar 2025
"The lodge was super cosy and had all the bits we needed, decorated really nicely. Only one pillow each, but since it was just us, we used the extras. The bed was really comfy, too!"
Emma Carter - Oct 2024
"We didnt quite expect the caravan to be quite so dusty and cluttered. Although it was clean when we arrived, its obvious it hadnt been thoroughly checked beforehand-dust on the carpet, stuff under the sofas and missing remote covers. These little details really affect the overall experience, which was a bit disappointing."
Emma Carter - Aug 2024
"The lodge was lovely and the forest setting made it really peaceful. The gardens were tidy and plenty of bins made it easy for dog owners."
Emma Carter - Aug 2024
"Our Percy Wood Golf and Country Park review: Really enjoyed our stay, the house had everything needed."
Charlie Morgan - Aug 2024
"The lodge was stunning and spotless, perfectly placed on the park. Only downside was the pesky flies by the hot tub."
Emma Carter - Jun 2024
"Weather's out of our hands, but it definitely affects older folks like my partner in a wheelchair."
Emma Carter - Jun 2024
"Cozy place, would recommend!"
Emma Carter - Mar 2024
"The twin rooms felt quite tight for adults, honestly. Would probably suit little kids better, really."
Claire - Nov 2023
"Itd have been great if theyd thrown in some outdoor furniture for the decking area, honestly."
Charlotte - Jun 2023
"We honestly had such a lovely trip! The location was spot-on for exploring all the nearby attractions, though having a car was a must. The caravan itself was gorgeous and super comfy, which meant we mostly just wanted to stay in. A truly great week!"
Emma T. - Aug 2019
"Really enjoyed the lovely surroundings here."
Emma - Aug 2019
"Great spot, would visit again"
Sarah - Aug 2019
"The van was alright, but a few things could be better."
Emma - Aug 2019
"Could be a lot better"
Jamie - Aug 2019
"Nice place, would stay again"
Emma - Aug 2019

Nick - Aug 2019
"Really enjoyed our stay! The location's great, close to the A1 which made exploring easy. It was a perfect base for venturing out further. We definitely plan to return. Thanks a lot!"
Emma - Jul 2019
"Loved the vibe here, definitely coming back soon!"
Emma - Jul 2019
"It's pretty peaceful here, but if you're after lively activities, this place isn't for you at all."
James - Jul 2019
"We recently stayed in what seemed like a Platinum caravan, with the en-suite and two separate leather sofas-definitely not the usual. Honestly, it was the best experience we've had there. Were pretty sure we got upgraded and it made all the difference!"
Lucy - Jun 2019
"Really enjoyed our stay, can't wait to return!"
Chris - Jun 2019
"We recently stayed in this caravan and honestly, it was quite a nice find. The place was spotless and well-kept and the location on the park was pretty convenient. The decking area was a lovely spot to relax in the evenings. However, a few small touches could really make a difference - like having some basic condiments such as salt and pepper shakers and a proper outside table to match the chairs. We also thought it would be handy to have some cleaning supplies at the start, as there wasnt any handwashing soap in the toilet, which caught us out a bit. The entertainment options could be improved too - a sound bar or some sort of speaker system would have been great since the built-in one wasnt working. The fire was a bit tricky to operate, switching itself off quickly and the instructions werent very clear. It might help if there was an info book with details about how to use everything and some local tips. We also wondered why theres a dishwasher and washing machine that arent plumbed in and wires hanging in the bedroom for TVs that arent there anymore - just makes it look a bit unfinished. Still, overall, a decent stay with some simple improvements."
Emily - Jun 2019
"Great experience, would recommend"
Emma - May 2019
"We had a fantastic holiday! The van was spotless and br and new, really comfortable. The site was tidy and well-kept, plus the kids loved the free activities. Definitely coming back with the grandkids next year!"

"Lovely place to visit and get away from the world for a few days. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away for a shortbreak Will be booking up again soon"
Jonathan - Jul 2022
"We loved our stay at Percy Wood Golf Club. The site is beautiful very nice quiet and calm. The van was exceptional and the staff were all very friendly. We found the positioning of the site perfect for driving out to visit various local attractions in the day."
Rebecca - Jul 2022
"We stayed for 4 nights wanting a base to explore the area and found this location perfect. The caravan was very clean and had everything you needed. We were told the golf clubhouse which was a 10 min walk served food only to find that no food mid wk. Be prepared as there are no shops or restaurants in walking distance and you really need to book any you see on your travels. Had a lovely few days stay would definitely recommend a trip to Bamburgh Castle Alnwick castle Holy island and if you are lucky with the weather longhouton beach."
Tracey - Jul 2022
"Had a lovely visit. Set in beautiful surroundings the site is perfect for those wanting to get away and relax."
Adam - Jul 2022
"The caravan was very clean inside. Supply off cooking equipment and crockery ect. very good. TV reception not so good. Seating on the decking would have been appreciated. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and respectful."
Lilian - Jun 2022
"Nice central location for Northumberland, good for couples if you like it quiet but maybe a little quiet for families."
Andrew - May 2022

Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.

With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out.  Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals.  Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit.  The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.
