Rivers Edge Glamping Garden View Reviews

Emma - Sep 2024
We had an incredible stay at this cosy lodge with a hot tub tucked away in a peaceful spot. The little touches like biscuits, cakeand milk on arrival really made us feel welcome. The location is perfect for relaxing, yet close enough to lovely walks, cafesand restaurants nearby. The hosts were so friendly and kept in touch to check everything was okay, giving us plenty of privacy. Honestly, it’s a great place to unwind and we’re already planning our next visit!

The pod was lovely, really well kitted outand the peaceful surroundings made it perfect for relaxing. We loved using the hot tub every day, whatever the weather!
David Thomas - Jul 2023
Had an amazing first weekend here with my partner, super relaxing and romantic. Definitely coming back! Every moment was just perfect. Highly recommend!
Harriet - May 2023
Rivers Edge glamping is such a lovely spot, nestled in peaceful gardens with woodland all around. We enjoyed walks along the riverand the pod itself was well kitted out and super clean. The bathroom was small, but totally enough for us. Watching a mum deer with her two babies come into the garden was a real highlight! The owners are lovelyand those brownies? Absolutely delicious. We’d definitely recommend the Annandale pod for a relaxing getaway.
Samir - Apr 2023
Very pleased, definitely coming back again!
James - Mar 2023
We had such a lovely few days at Hidden Retreat! The place is super peaceful, really cleanand watching wildlife from the hot tub was just perfect. Laura surprised me with a beautifully decorated pod for my 50th birthday, which was a lovely touch. My husband really outdid himself. We’re already planning our next visit - can’t wait to return!
Oliver - Nov 2022
Our honeymoon was lovely overall. Despite the gloomy weather, there was plenty to doand the hot tub with a roof was a real bonus! We’d definitely come back.
Emma - Aug 2022
The pod's decor was stunningand it had absolutely everything we needed for a great stay.
Emma Clarke - Jun 2022
We had a lovely time at the Allendale pod. It was incredibly clean and had everything we needed, including the games box which was a nice touch. The hot tub was spotless and perfect for unwinding after a day out sightseeing. We also enjoyed sitting by the firepit in the evening, watching the rabbits, swiftsand the deer with her two fawns - such a treat! The location is really secluded and peaceful, making it a great getaway. Thanks so much to Laura & Jean for a wonderful stay!
Emma - Jun 2022

Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT

Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
Cragside House and Gardens - NE65 7PX
about 30 Miles
Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT
about 33 Miles
Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Alnwick Castle and Gardens - NE66 1NQ
about 37 Miles
Alnwick Castle and Gardens today are perhaps best known for their roles as Hogwarts in Harry Potter movies but have for many years been a family favourite attraction in Northumberland. The beautiful medieval castle is open to the public and during school holidays and at Christmas and Halloween a range of activities can be enjoyed including Santa's Workshop, a Pumpkin Parade, Spell Making Lessons and Owl and Bird of Prey Flying.
