Riverside Leisure Park Reviews

"All good no problems ????"
John - Nov 2024
"Lovely caravan, spacious and very clean and cosy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful.Only thing I would say was a dvd player would have been very useful and we couldnt get access at all to the wifi."
Karen - Nov 2024
"The caravan was clean with everything we needed, however, there were a few broken bits such as a toilet door which wouldn't open from the inside and a shower pipe which was broken meaning the shower dribbled on you. While these certainly weren't end of the world issues they were things that made us think the quality had gone down compared to previous stays. This was something that another guest also commented on, a general need for maintenance and a refresh."
Paul - Nov 2024
"Booked for my birthday. It was a great experience. The are is beautiful and the vans are spacious and well maintained. They come with basic cutlery, towels, bedding and even some frying pans. There is a large fridge freezer and, iron and a hair drier available. The parking next to the vans can squeeze two cars comfortably. The lovely experience is enhanced by the elegant ducks committee that keeps you company throughout your stay. The facility has also a swimming pool and hot tube which one needs to book in advance. Well maintained and looked after. I will be back."
Mateusz - Nov 2024
"Had a great stay and for such a competitive price. Only problem was the mattress was like sleeping on a bed of nails. I reported it to the reception staff but they didn't get back to me and in desperation on the second night I ended up turning the mattress over and thankfully that helped. I advised a member of the cleaning staff when they arrived to drop off new linen at the end of my 4 day stay and he apologised and said he was disappointed as he hadn't been made aware of it."
Julie - Oct 2024
"Fantastic place to stay. Northumberland has loads on offer for everyone"
Verified Guest - Oct 2024
"Faultless. Well appointed, good layout. No complaints."
Gerry - Oct 2024
"It was a good sized caravan, good location and clean & tidy"
Fiona - Oct 2024
"All excellent."
Ian - Oct 2024
"Lovely caravan, a lot better than expected for the money. It was clean and in great condition. The fridge and freezer were generously sized and the oven was efficient. There was also a good range of utensils and kitchen items. The bathroom was a decent size, with a large and powerful shower. Beds were comfortable, only improvement would be to have a bit more storage space for clothes in the bedroom."
Laura - Oct 2024
"We opted for a non pet caravan due to allergies. However, the living room couch, the carpets and bedrooms were covered in dog hair."
Verified Guest - Oct 2024
"Stayed here before and this seems to be an older lodge however it was still furnished nicely and all appliances were there. Heating was really nice for the cold nights and the option to turn it off was appreciated. Staff were friendly and helpful on site and brought us more towels as soon as we requested them. Wooler is a lovely town within walking distance and has several bars and a lovely Italian restaurant and a Chinese and fish and chip shop all worth a visit. An ideal location for visiting areas such as Morpeth, Berwick, Alnwick. Would definitely stay here again."
Angela - Oct 2024
"In general the Ivy caravan 2 was a practical layout and comfortable for family of four staying four nights. Only negative would be there was no sockets next to bedside cabinets."
Iain - Oct 2024
"Lovely bright clean & spacious caravan. Beds very comfortable. Well equipped and great value for money. Shower water power was great."
Anne - Oct 2024
"Great holiday. The lodge was very comfortable."
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"Nice place to stay for a few days to get out and about in Northumblerand. Comfortable and Clean."
John - Aug 2024
"A lovely place"
Thomas Sisterson - Aug 2024
"Comfortable, relatively clean (bar a few dusty headboards, but that didnt really bother me) and well positioned for play parks."
Sara - Aug 2024
"Not convenient tv not watchable and was reported but had a really good holiday"
Anne - Jul 2024
"The lodge was very clean and the hot tub was very good"
Verified Guest - Jul 2024
"The caravan was big enough and had a lot of outside space. Shame it didnt have decking but we didnt pay for one with decking- missed it when the sun was out. Main negative is that the caravan wasnt perfectly clean - fridge had crumbs and dirty as well as marks on the tables. The caravan missed a few appliances like a cheese grater and square oven dish."
Gemma - Jul 2024
"Lovely spacious caravan clean and tidy"
Verified Guest - Jun 2024
"Fantastic!! Perfect holiday getaway. Great location, plenty of privacy. Well equipped inside and lovely seating area outside"
Dawn - Jun 2024
"Spotless van in excellent condition, couldnt really fault it."
Peter - Jun 2024
"Lovely clean caravan with enty of outside space for the children to play."
Verified Guest - Jun 2024
"the caravan was a new one with only two bedrooms but very comfy and with an extra toilet in main bedroom. everything worked really well but could do with a few more kitchen accessories ,such as plastic measuring jug etc. the fire in living room was fabulous as you can have normal coloured flames or a mixture of colours , used just the ambient lighting mostly , but when heat was put on it was toasty warm . radiators used twice but was warm"
James - Jun 2024
"The Ivy caravan we stayed in was nicely located. It was clean and had a good sized lounge area. The kitchen was ok for a short stay but the bedrooms were far too small."
Peter - Jun 2024
"Excellent caravan for the price very happy"
Verified Guest - Jun 2024
"The only down side was the WiFi didn't connect and signal was really poor"
Sarah - May 2024
"A fantastic break. Our caravan was in the new part of the park and was immaculately clean. Wi-Fi was very weak which meant we had a complete break from technology??."
Duncan - Aug 2022
"Amazing holiday will Defintely re book"
Callum - Jul 2022
"This was a beautiful site, the caravan was so clean and little touches of soaps and shower gels and shampoo was really nice. The standard of accommodation was excellent, modern and very comfortable. Customer service was also really good, nothing was a bother and first night we arrived a member of staff came to the caravan to check everything was okay. The bed linen was pristine and excellent quality as were the towels. The pool was great and the gentleman that was running it was really helpful and friendly. The only little suggestion would be a little longer than 45 minutes a day session in the pool, we would have happily paid extra for a pool pass. Other than that the whole holiday was a relaxing in gorgeous surroundings with friendly and professional staff."
Sarah - Jul 2022
"Was very welcoming staff all social and friendly very approachable. Would definitely recommend to all that want a nice relaxing break. Will be visiting again myself."
Nancy - Jul 2022
"Lovely area."
Philip - Jul 2022
"Loved the caravan and the site. Everyone was helpful and pleasant and all was spotless and clean"
Derrick - Jul 2022
"This was our first time staying at Riverside. The caravan was clean and had all the amenities we needed. We were on the side with new playground which my kids loved. Short walk into town CO-OP near by. The pool was a good size but you do have to book your time. My kids enjoyed the game room but beware you can only collect prizes at specific times which was not posted."
Erica - Jul 2022
"Excellent site the caravan was as it stated in the brochure. For such a large site it was really peaceful and we had a lovely few days chilling out. We would recommend it to anyone and we'll definitely be going back. Thanks"
Bruce - Jul 2022
"Yes, it was all lovely, we didn't eat in the restaurant, so no score for the below"
Steve - Jul 2022
"Will definitely recommend to pur friends. We look forward to returning later in the year."
Lynn - Jul 2022

The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
Conundrum Farm - EX5 3AQ

With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out.  Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals.  Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit.  The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.

Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT

Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
