Springhouse Country Park Reviews

"We had a fantastic time in the Ardennes 2! Its brilliantly equipped, perfect for our group of three. The full-size fridge/freezer was a bonus and the shower had excellent water pressure. Central heating was so easy to use and kept everything cosy. Definitely planning to stay here again, really loved it!"
James - Apr 2025
"We had a lovely stay! The place is quirky and super clean, with a cool upper bunk room and a cosy atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and the breakfast was fantastic value. The outside decking and warm shower made it even better. Great spot!"
Emily Carter - Mar 2025
"Really loved the caravan, would return!"
James - Mar 2025
"We had a fantastic stay! Everything was spot on, couldnt find a fault. Would be amazing if there was a later check-out option. Already planning our next visit, cant wait!"

"Our Springhouse Country Park review: Absolutely loved the cottage! The location was perfect and we had such a great time overall."
Emma Carter - Nov 2024
"We loved the Cabana! The tea and coffee options were a nice touch. Only tiny gripe was the lack of lids for the dishes, but honestly, its no big deal at all."
Emma Roberts - Oct 2024
"Lovely stay, will definitely come back again soon!"
James - Oct 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was spotless, super comfy and modern. Perfect for us and our two dogs and honestly, its spacious enough for a family too. Lovely place overall!"
Emma Carter - Oct 2024
"We had a really lovely stay in the caravan - it was spotless and well-equipped. The view was stunning and it was so peaceful. Parking right outside was a bonus. Only downside was the outdoor chairs, theyre a bit battered now. Thanks for a great break!"
Emma - Oct 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay"
Emma Carter - Sep 2024
"Great stay overall, but the caravan was smaller than expected for the booking."

Emma - Sep 2024
"Could do with a more detailed clean, found debris under beds and behind cushions."
Emma Clarke - Sep 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay! The place felt like a proper home from home, modern and spacious. Everything we needed was there-towels, bedding and a nice deck area to chill outside. The big TV was great, though the HD channels sometimes buffered, but that wasnt a big deal since we didnt watch much."
Jamie - Sep 2024
"The caravan was super comfy and had all we needed. Its a really nice spot to stay, definitely recommend."
Emma - Aug 2024
"Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The only issue was those cupboards above the sink, which are a bit of a head-banger every time. Definitely feels like a man designed that part! Still, lovely place."
Emma - Aug 2024
"Really enjoyed the stay, the caravan was cosy and well-equipped. Having private parking and a deck was a bonus!"
Emma - Aug 2024
"Good spot, would come back again."
George - Aug 2024
"The bed mattress really needs replacing, its not comfy at all. Camp was peaceful and relaxing, especially enjoyed the private seating area and hot tub. Lovely weather too!"
Emily - Aug 2024
"Lovely peaceful spot, beautifully maintained grounds, perfect for gentle strolls. The on-site pub is a great bonus."
Emma Carter - Jul 2024
"We had a lovely stay overall. The scenery was stunning and the kids enjoyed the play area and spotting wildlife like rabbits. The caravan was a good size and WiFi worked pretty well. The launderette was handy too. The only real downsides were the bar, which was quite a hassle and staff seemed a bit too relaxed about leaks. Still, a pretty good break!"
Emma - Jun 2024
"Very spacious and well-equipped, everything we needed was there!"
James - Jun 2024
"Not worth the hassle"
Sarah Jenkins - Jun 2024

Susan - Jul 2022
"Beautiful park in a fabulous setting. Yes, it was a little way from civilization but it made up for it in peace and tranquility. The park was clean and beautifully landscaped. We had a meal in the lovely little bar and restaurant - it was lovely. Can certainly recommend it. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay there again when we are in the area."
Eleanor - Jul 2022
"Lovely place, peaceful setting. Restaurant was lovely and very reasonable."
Michelle - Jul 2022
"Quiet location and superb clean comfortable caravan BUT noise from children running up and down inside caravans and loud music spoilt the site therefore left one day early. Cannot understand why some people chose a quiet site and then destroy the ambiance. Well kept site is a credit to the staff."
Simon - Jul 2022
"Just had a FANTASTIC mid week break at Springhouse Country Park. When we arrived we were told we were the first people to stay in the caravan as it was a brand new one, BONUS. The van was spotless, with everything there we needed except a sweeping brush. If you like entertainment amusement arcades + noise this is DEF NOT the place for you, but if you like peace, quiet away from it all then this is DEF the place. Hopefully will return soon."
Verified Guest - Jul 2022
"Quiet retreat but beautiful setting. Everything you would need on site and accommodation was really lovely. Plenty of walks etc"
Sheila - Jun 2022
"Can't fault the cleanliness and comfort of the caravans, situated in a quiet location which was what we wented.x"
Susan - Jun 2022
"Our lodge was superb couple things were broke in the lodge but it didn't stop us enjoying ourselves. Beautiful lodge and hot tub was amazing, our only upset was the warden told us off with a bit of an attitude for having a laugh and listening to music and yet it wasn't even 10.30pm"
Claire - Jun 2022
"Lovely van!! Very modern everything you need. Good park for Kids. The food in the bar was Amazing!!! And breakfast was lovely. Would recommend. Hope to be back soon."
Daisy - Jun 2022
"It is remote but the club house has good food, there was a play area for the children. We were only there for the weekend so didn’t use the shop."

Attractions Near Springhouse Country Park

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Springhouse Country Park. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT
about 10 Miles
Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT
about 26 Miles
Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Cragside House and Gardens - NE65 7PX
about 29 Miles
Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 34 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
Alnwick Castle and Gardens - NE66 1NQ
about 38 Miles
Alnwick Castle and Gardens today are perhaps best known for their roles as Hogwarts in Harry Potter movies but have for many years been a family favourite attraction in Northumberland. The beautiful medieval castle is open to the public and during school holidays and at Christmas and Halloween a range of activities can be enjoyed including Santa's Workshop, a Pumpkin Parade, Spell Making Lessons and Owl and Bird of Prey Flying.
