Relax and enjoy the view across this ancient 14,000 acre estate from the privacy of your own outdoor hot tub. The scenery is beautiful and there's an abundance of rare wildlife and some gorgeous walks. The luxurious lodges aren't far from scenic Kielder Forest Park and the Lake District, but if you do fancy some nightlife, Newcastle is just 30 miles away.
Parmontley Hall Lodges is a true escape where you can take in the beauty of the North Pennines scenery. As well as a multitude of walks and cycle paths, there is an outdoor play area for the kids and a clubhouse with snooker and pool. If you want to venture further afield, both Gateshead and Newcastle are great places to visit with a choice of excellent restaurants and shops.
The lodges are comfortable, contemporary and spacious and all have their own verandahs with garden furniture and private hot tubs. Peel Lodge sleeps up to four people and has one double and one twin bedroom and Staward Lodge sleeps six - two of the rooms have bunk beds, perfect for a larger family.
Northumberland is a really beautiful part of the country with wonderful parks, nature trails and walks to explore, such as Northumberland National Park and the Cheviot Hills. If you want to find out about the history of mining in the North Pennines, Nethead Mines in Alston has a fascinating museum, full of information about the people who worked there and the legacy they left.
