Rivers Edge Glamping River View Reviews

Alex - Sep 2024
Stunning spot, spotless everywhere, truly lovely!
Emma - Jun 2024
Absolutely loved this place! The peaceful setting with the river nearby and daily visits from wild deer made it special. Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely come back!
Alex Morgan - Sep 2023
We really enjoyed a chilled weekend here, perfect for unwinding. The weather was lovely, so we took a nice walk by the river. The Oley had all we needed, super comfy. We booked a table at the Crown & Crossed Swords pub (definitely recommend booking in advance) - only a 15-minute walk. Ending the day in the hot tub at the Oley was just brilliant!
Oliver - Aug 2023
Charming place, great spot, definitely planning to return soon!
Ellie - Jul 2023
We travelled from Scotland and had an absolutely lovely stay here. The pod was super cosy and had everything we needed, plus it was spotless! My boyfriend’s birthday was celebrated with decorations, browniesand strawberries-such a thoughtful touch. There are plenty of pretty walks nearby and some nice restaurants and shops. Honestly, we couldn’t recommend this place enough. It was just perfect for a relaxing getawayand we’ll definitely be back!
Sam - Jun 2023
Really enjoyed our stay! The pod had everything we neededand the peaceful, private spot was just perfect. The hot tub was a lovely touch after busy days. The craftsmanship was impressiveand the locals seemed really friendly. Would definitely stay again!
Emma - May 2023
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a pod stay, but it turned out to be super cosy and comfortable. The owners clearly put a lot of thought into the details, both inside and out. The hot tub was already warm when we arrived and was checked regularly, which was nice. The location beside the river was so peaceful, perfect for a relaxing walk. Plus, everything we wanted to visit was only a short drive away. We’d definitely come back!
Jamie - Feb 2023
The Oley was a lovely, spotless place to unwind. Cosy atmosphere and Laura’s warmth made us feel right at home. Looking forward to returning this summer. Definitely worth recommending!
Alex - Aug 2022
We stayed three nights in the river view Oley pod and honestly, it was fantastic. The setting is so peaceful, with a lovely quiet vibe, right by the river. The pod itself had everything we needed - really well equipped and cosy. The hot tub was a highlight, super clean and heated quickly. The owners went above and beyond, leaving coal for the BBQ and logs for the fire pit. Laura and Jean stopped by to check everything was alright. Plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby too. We’d definitely come back!
Emily - Jul 2022
We had such a lovely stay! The pod was spotless when we arrived and had all the essentials. The bed was super comfyand the sofa area was a nice chill spot. Luckily, the weather was scorching, over 30 degreesand the fan the owners left was a lifesaver. The communication before we got there was spot on, very clearand the owners were really friendly and welcoming. The outdoor space was peaceful and perfect for relaxing. Would definitely come back!

Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT
about 12 Miles
Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
Cragside House and Gardens - NE65 7PX
about 31 Miles
Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT
about 34 Miles
Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Alnwick Castle and Gardens - NE66 1NQ
about 38 Miles
Alnwick Castle and Gardens today are perhaps best known for their roles as Hogwarts in Harry Potter movies but have for many years been a family favourite attraction in Northumberland. The beautiful medieval castle is open to the public and during school holidays and at Christmas and Halloween a range of activities can be enjoyed including Santa's Workshop, a Pumpkin Parade, Spell Making Lessons and Owl and Bird of Prey Flying.
