Jamie - Jan 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay here"
Emma - Jan 2025
"We had a lovely stay at the lodge, it was spotless and well presented. Cant wait to book again soon, really enjoyed it!"
Emma - Dec 2024
"Our Hexham Lodges review: The cottages were super cosy and spotless, which we really appreciated. Parking was no hassle at all and the spa and golf facilities nearby were fantastic. Reception was really helpful too!"
Sam - Nov 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was lovely, in a stunning location and surprisingly, no dog smell at all."
Emma - Oct 2024
"Really comfy, spotlessly clean and well stocked."
Charlotte - Oct 2024
"We stayed at this lovely place surrounded by stunning countryside - the views really are something else. The villa itself is spread over three floors, which gives plenty of space for everyone. We visited in October, right after a warm spell and it took a good day to warm up the place since it was pretty cold initially. Once it was cosy, we felt much better. The place had most essentials, though we did miss oven gloves and scissors. The nearest shop is quite a trek, so it's best to arrive with basics like milk and bread because all they had was a couple of sachets of milk and some coffee. The TV only has Freesat and YouTube, no other apps. Beds are a bit firm but manageable. The hot tub is quite private, but a screen would make it even better for privacy. Maintenance checked the hot tub twice daily - around 9.30am and 4pm - so everything was safe. With a few tweaks, this could easily be a 5-star stay!"
Emily Carter - Oct 2024
"We stayed at this lodge for a week and it was really spacious and modern, which we appreciated. However, the towels werent changed midweek, so I had to wash them myself. Also, no apps on the TVs meant no Netflix or Prime, which the kids definitely missed without Sky TV. Still, overall, a decent stay."
Emily Carter - Jul 2024
"Had a great time, can't wait to come back soon!"
Jake - Feb 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay"

Emily Carter - Jan 2020
"We really enjoyed our stay - the lodge was well-equipped and spotlessly clean. It was perfect for a family catch-up, top quality all round!"
Emma - Dec 2019
"Honestly, we had such a fantastic stay! The lodge was spot-on, really well kitted out and the value was top-notch. We didnt expect a sauna at all, which was a lovely surprise-even if we didn't get round to trying it. Definitely coming back!"
Emma - Nov 2019
"Great trip, loved relaxing with friends, would do again."
Emma - Nov 2019
"We genuinely enjoyed our visit and can't wait to come back again soon!"

James - Oct 2019
"We celebrated her 60th with a lovely gesture; the wine was a nice touch, appreciated it!"
Emma - Oct 2019
"We dont usually bother with reviews, but after such a great stay and exploring the area, we thought it was worth sharing. The place felt more like a spacious 3-bed bungalow rather than a typical lodge, which was lovely. The staff were super friendly and helpful and honestly, it was good value for money. Definitely recommend for a relaxed getaway!"
Alex - Oct 2019
"We loved our stay! The place was super cosy and well equipped, with comfy beds and top-notch kitchen gear. Heating was straightforward and the golf buggy was a fun bonus. Truly marvellous experience!"
Emma - Oct 2019
"We all had a brilliant week, everyone from kids to grandparents loved it."
Emma - Oct 2019
"We really enjoyed our stay, the scenery was stunning and staff friendly, but recycling could be improved with clearer bins in the lodges. Cheers!"
Sam - Oct 2019
"We really enjoyed our stay at these lodges. The layout is spot on and the views from the sitting room and balcony are just stunning. Perfectly situated for trips to Hexham, Corbridge and Newcastle. The pool and spa were a lovely bonus. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!"
Emma - Sep 2019
"Really enjoyed our stay, will come back!"
Emma - Aug 2019
"Comfortable stay with all essentials, perfect for a family weekend away."
Rachel - Aug 2019
"Really enjoyed it, will return soon."
Emma - Aug 2019
"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It was incredibly clean and had such a welcoming vibe, like a home away from home. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen was lovely to cook in. The master bedroom was definitely a highlight. The guest folder helped us settle in quickly, though it was a bit pricey. Overall, a fantastic experience!"
James - Aug 2019
"The halls decor is a bit tired and could do with a refresh, but everything else was top-notch. We had an amazing week overall! Would definitely return."
Rachel - Jul 2019
"Really enjoyed it, looking forward to the next stay!"

Attractions Near Hexham Lodges

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Hexham Lodges. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT
about 10 Miles
Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT
about 28 Miles
Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Cragside House and Gardens - NE65 7PX
about 29 Miles
Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 36 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
Alnwick Castle and Gardens - NE66 1NQ
about 37 Miles
Alnwick Castle and Gardens today are perhaps best known for their roles as Hogwarts in Harry Potter movies but have for many years been a family favourite attraction in Northumberland. The beautiful medieval castle is open to the public and during school holidays and at Christmas and Halloween a range of activities can be enjoyed including Santa's Workshop, a Pumpkin Parade, Spell Making Lessons and Owl and Bird of Prey Flying.
