Landal Barnsoul Reviews

"Great little lodge, only con is theres no microwave if you needed it and obviously the two person lodge is small but fit for purpose!"
Verified Guest - Mar 2025
"Honestly one of the best lodges we've stayed in. Site is fab, and lodges well placed. Everything you need, kitchen well equipped and toiletries (rituals) was a fab touch. Decking at either end of Lodge meant you caught sun early morning and night and we hit very lucky with 17 in March. Haven't got a bad word to say about the place and it can only get better with 2nd part of development. 100% would recommend."
Becca - Mar 2025
"Beautiful surroundings however our oven was broken and didnt work. For a long weekend getaway in middle of nowhere this was quite an important facility and a disappointment to find after a whole day of travelling. Especially with it being late on my partners birthday. After a lot of chasing we were given access to another lodge the following evening for the rest of our trip. But this was less than ideal."
Verified Guest - Mar 2025
"Very good for price paid"
Andrew - Mar 2025
"Our Landal Barnsoul review: Stayed in lodge 10. Lovely accommodation.Very clean and modern. Both bedrooms have en-suite which is rare.Just needs some bedside cabinets and more curtains in the living area."
James - Mar 2025
"Good do with a bedside table in bedroom , but apart from that perfect ."
Barrie - Feb 2025
"The lodges are of a v high standard, way superior to Centre Parcs. They are also really cozy as we were there in February when it was v cold. I would rather have a microwave than a washer/dryer but personal choice!"
Jacqui - Feb 2025
"We loved Landal Barnsoul, the only thing Id say was the issues with the TV and connecting to Netflix wasted a lot of time but the next day staff helped us out which was appreciated. Also the tv in the lounge was very small considering it was the main room wed watch TV on and compared to other lodges and the source button wouldnt work so we just had freeview on that one. The overall lodge was beautiful and modern but there were a few cobwebs etc nothing major. The hot tub area was a bit unaesthetic and wasnt covered ontop but had a fence around for privacy but we had to go through the bedroom to get to the bathrooms which was annoying as it made all the floor wet and in other landal parks weve been to you can go straight into the en suite bathrooms from the hot tub area which was much more convenient. But it was a great stay and staff were really kind and helpful which made it better."
Verified Guest - Feb 2025
"This site undergoing some amazing new facilities but at the moment a quiet and peaceful retreat away from it all .A brilliant few days away."
Sheila - Feb 2025
"Cabin was tremendous, everything we needed and more."
Verified Guest - Jan 2025
"Beautiful lodge with everything you could need. The dog welcome pack was a lovely added extra"
Amy - Jan 2025
"Was amazing 100% will be back"
Emma - Dec 2024
"Amazing lodge - very high spec and it is dog friendly. The best Ive been in. Usually dog friendly caravans/lodges are the basic models. This was just fantastic. The site is ongoing (although no work was going on at the weekend we were there) but plans for a restaurant, swimming pool etc will only enhance the appeal."
Helen - Nov 2024
"Was great value for money, will definitely come back."
Robbie - Nov 2024
"Could not find any fault all excellent. The lodges are as advertised if not better."
Samantha - Nov 2024
"The lodge was lovely and well appointed.Beds very comfortable and we all slept well. Fittings and furniture were all of a high standard and attention to detail was good."
Lisa - Nov 2024
"Lovely luxurious lodge"
Verified Guest - Nov 2024
"Enjoyed our stay and lovely looking lodge, will be good once full build is complete.Few negatives - overall finishes of lodge could be better, takes away from the lovely modern look. Could have been cleaned a lot better, lots of cobwebs etc. Hoover could be provided to clean up after ourselves, only had a dustpan and brush. Front door never had anything to cover it, curtain should be put up or privacy glass"
Gayle - Oct 2024
"Beautiful lodge with"
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"The holiday park is under construction and there wasnt much to see. We did go for a walk on a couple of the days but the trail routes we were given didnt really give much information as we couldnt find any."
Catherine - Sep 2024
"The lodge was beautiful, big and roomy with lots of detail to comfort.Living in a bit of luxury."
Carol - Jul 2024
"We were at Landal Burnsoul on 6th May for 4 nights, arriving on the Monday we were met by Colin, a really nice guy, who gave us all the information needed to make the most of our Short break. We had booked a two bedroom lodge but on arrival we had been upgraded to a three bedroom one, on opening the door, my reaction was, wow, it was beautiful, open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room, the 3 bedrooms, all en-suite, again, amazing, and Bailey our dog loved the decking, as did we, the outdoor furniture was so comfortable and relaxing, the weather was lovely and in a quiet idyllic spot, for us it was perfect, so much so, we have booked again, going back in June, cant wait."
Verified Guest - May 2024
"Lovely place to stay, defo need a car as in the middle of nowhere. Could di with some things being put in the accommodation like draw in the kitchen as cultery in a try in the cupboard, only hanging facilities in the main bedroom no draws, shelves needs a table next to the bed. Need hooks to hang coats on in hall / back of doors. Also as pet friendly, could do with a gate on the front porch. Will be great when there is more built there, hopefully with a bar, shop etc."
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Absolutely gorgeous"
Barbara - Mar 2024
"The cabin was absolutely stunning and so comfortable! everything was very tasteful and beautifully put together! i couldnt find fault i any off it. i lived every minute we were away and would highly recommend"
Kimberley - Mar 2024
"A beautiful new modern lodge with a perfect layout for our party to enjoy. Bedside tables/ledge would have been handy along with a microwave but not the end of the world, honestly just trying to find fault at this point."
Louise - Mar 2024
"Had a fantastic long weekend stay at Landal Barnsoul the lodge was amazing! The only thing with having a dog with us would be to have a gate on the balcony to stop them from getting out."
Chris - Mar 2024
"Everything in the lodge is fantastic, really nothing to fault at all. The most comfiest bed and amazing quilt, the pillows could be better though, could just be personal opinion."
Keith - Mar 2024
"We stayed in an Orka 1.0 spa lodge and would stay again for a short break, for longer breaks we would book a bigger lodge. Only con we had about the lodge was the lack of dining table in our lodge. The pros - there were so many. The lodge was clean, tidy, light and fitted in very well with its surroundings. Our favourite part was sitting in the Hot tub on a night with the clear skies, seeing shooting stars with the sound of the stream in the background, it was just simply beautiful and relaxing."
Rachael - Feb 2024
"Ive given this a 5 star for the future of this development. I could complain about the road into entrance of site but there are still works going on to build the rest of the development as of Feb 2024. The actual lodge we stayed in was beautiful. Overlooked the woods at the back this was great for a family of 4.Thanks for a lovely stay and Im looking forward to staying again when its fully developed, maybe before."

Mabie Farm Park is a firm favourite. Ideal for families with younger children ,this family oriented farm park has lots of animals to meet and also offers Donkey Rides, Paddle Boats and Slides as well as Trampolines and Bouncy Castles. Kids can run around on the Soft Play Area while mum and dad relax in the Tea Room. There is also a Farm Shop onsite selling toys, gifts and fresh local produce including cakes and jams. We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 34 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
