"We really felt at home in the lodge, its cosy and inviting. My only tiny gripe was the mattress being a bit soft for my back, but overall, it was a lovely stay!"

The hot tub was a real highlight, especially after a long day. The owners are super friendly and make you feel right at home. The kids didnt want to leave either, which says it all. Weve already booked for next year and cant wait to come back. Thanks for a fantastic stay!"

"We had an amazing stay at the lodge! Everything we needed was there, making us feel right at home. The hot tub was spotless and checked daily, but it didnt bother us at all. The scenery is breathtaking, especially with Elan Valley just minutes away. Were definitely coming back - cant wait for our next visit!"
Harriet - Mar 2019
"We had a lovely stay at Heart of Wales Lodges! The place was spotlessly clean and super relaxing. The lodge had everything we neededand watching the birds visit the feeder was a real highlight. Duncan was such a friendly host and knew a lot about the area. Well be back for sure!"
Emma - Mar 2019
"Absolutely fantastic"
Nicola - Jan 1970
"The lodge itself was fantastic and had everything you would need. Considering what we payed we were very surprised by how much the lodge itself had to offer. The views were fantastic and you felt like you had the area to yourself, a perfect weekend getaway. The only negatives I would say were the couches could have been a bit more comfortable and the hot tub did not allow us to turn it up past 37.5 degrees and it would have been nice to have it a little bit hotter."
Sam - Jan 1970
"We had a fabulous few days. The lodge is in a gorgeous spot and Duncan the owner is great. Nothing is too much trouble. The hot tub is very well maintained. The pubs were still closed but there are a few lovely local takeaways in the nearest town less than 10 minutes drive. No WiFi but the 4g worked great."
Claire - Jan 1970
"This was our second stay at the Heart of Wales Lodges. We stayed in 2019 and was due to stay in 2020 but due to the pandemic we rescheduled (with no issues) to 2021. The lodge (was always) was incredibly clean. Duncan met us at 5pm with the keys and then made sure we were ok throughout the week as it was incredibly windy & rainy!

We've recommended the Lodges to friends & family who also have booked previously with same resonation: this is a beautiful stay & highly recommended."
Nick - Jan 1970
"Couldnt have asked for a better break it was beautiful and the views are stunning"
Simon - Jan 1970
"Excellent beautiful quiet location"
Jacqueline - Jan 1970
"Lovely lodge home from home . Very clean with a hot tub that is very private within its own garden great for star gazing at night The bed was comfortable the shower was great and the lodge stays super warm . Bonus of a washer dryer ( no washing to take home ) must visit Ellan Valley near by its very beautiful . This was just what we needed to reset in the new year . We will be back"
Michelle - Jan 1970
"Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! The property is under a flight path - this did not disturb us at all! Dont be put off! A great location for dogs who hate fireworks as it's in the middle of nowhere. Really beautiful, well converted property. Thank you! "
Phoebe - Apr 2025
"A lovely secluded lodge in beautiful countryside. Totally secure for any size dog and a wonderful hot tub. Lots of lovely walks a short drive away and enjoyed the boatlake at Llandrindod Wells. All friendly welcome on arrival too."
Sarah - Jul 2022
"Loved the lodge!!.. hot tub was excellent!..would definitely recommend for a relaxing secluded break"
Maxine - Jul 2022
"Absolutely just what we were looking for. Huge lodge in the middle of nowhere. Only two lodges on site. Everything absolutely spotless. Duncan couldn’t have been any more helpful with daily visits to service the hot tub and six fresh eggs waiting in the fridge for us on arrival."
Kevin - Jun 2022
"Absolutely amazing place."
Caylan - Jun 2022
"Third time staying here. Have booked for 7 days in 2023. A very relaxing holiday. Very clean and hot tub checked every day by owner, who is very friendly. Even our dog loves his holiday here."

Abimbola - Apr 2022
"A beautiful and peaceful location."
Rachel - Apr 2022
"If you want a escape from the hustle and bustle of life this is the place to pick. The lodge it’s self is first class with lots of space comfortable beds and a fantastic hot tub we’ll definitely be booking again. Highly recommend 5 stars"
Diane - Apr 2022
"It’s by far the most beautiful lodge me and my partner have stayed in. With there being only 2 lodges at the place, it is so quiet and private you cannot beat it. The location itself has beautiful views and is very quiet, but there isn’t an awful lot to do unless you travel. But we went for a relaxing holiday so not having things to do was not an issue for us personally. The lodge is fully equipped with everything, some bathroom products such as shampoo, conditioner and body wash would have been appreciated but with COVID this may have been the reason for their absence I have recommended (and will continue to recommend) this lodge to lots of family and friends and hopefully me and my boyfriend will return at some point in the future."
Verified Guest - Mar 2022
"Just loved the place! Everything we needed plus beautiful welsh sunshine! Soooo relaxing ?"
