Emma Roberts - Jul 2024
We had a really lovely few days at this charming cabin. The place is well-equipped and super cosy. The views are simply stunningand we were lucky enough to spot some wildlife during our stay. We enjoyed a tasty meal at the Bateman Arms in Shobdon. The kite feeding experience in Rhayader was absolutely magicaland the small rare breeds farm in Kington was a real highlight. The electric charger was faulty, but Julie did her best to help us out. We’ll definitely be coming back! Thanks again, Julie xx
James - Jun 2024
We had such a lovely relaxing break in a truly beautiful and natural setting, with the pool and river nearby. There are some great spots to explore nearby, like Croft Castle, Weir Garden, Ludlowand Hay-on-Wye. It’s a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, plus the EV charging made everything so hassle-free. Thanks for looking after this wonderful environment - we definitely want to come back!
Mark - Jun 2024
We loved the peaceful spot just a short walk from another shepherd's hut. The EV charger was a real lifesaver since charging options are scarce around here. Perfect base for exploring Herefordshire and south Shropshire. Definitely recommend for a quiet getaway!
Emma - Jun 2024

We stayed five nights at The Snug on the Lugg and honestly, it was perfect for what we needed. The place was spotlessly clean and well-equipped, making self-catering easy. The bed was super comfy, which is always a plus. Julie was a lovely host-friendly and available if we needed anything. The location was peaceful and ideal for unwinding. Thanks for a lovely break, we’ll definitely come back!
Alex - Feb 2024
Honestly, we had a really lovely stay at Snugg on a Lugg. We’ve tried a few of these pod-style stays before, some better than others, but this one definitely stood out. The host was super friendly and quick to answer any questions, which made everything smooth. The place was spotless, brightand everything worked perfectly. We especially appreciated how helpful and polite the host was. It’s a shame we had to leave, but we’d definitely come back. Overall, a top-notch experience and well-deserved 5 stars!
Emma - Sep 2023
We had an absolutely lovely stay at The Snug on the Lugg. The scenery is breathtakingand it’s so quiet and relaxing - just what we needed. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially watching the red kites soar nearby. The place itself was super comfy and well kitted outand honestly, the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud! We really didn’t want to leave. Perfect spot for a mental health break, honestly. We’ll be back for sure!
Emma - Sep 2023
The Shepherds Hut is such a lovely spot! Perfect for walks along the Herefordshire Trail and super peaceful. Inside, it’s cosy and well-stocked, with a really comfy bed. We had a great time and definitely plan to return. Would definitely recommend!
James - Apr 2023
Perfect escape from daily stress, with stunning views and peaceful vibes you just can't find elsewhere. Honestly, we loved it and would definitely recommend giving it a go!
Emily - Jul 2022
Honestly, this Shepherds Hut exceeded all our expectations! It’s super cosy and well-equipped, definitely the most comfy one we’ve stayed in. The views around are just breathtaking - perfect for anyone who loves nature and quiet. We visited on the hottest dayand the owners kindly cooled the hot tub for us, which was a lovely touch. We took a quick trip to Hay on Wye but mostly just relaxed here, soaking up the peace. Can’t recommend it enough!
Alex Morgan - Mar 2022
Honestly, we had a great time! The place was super cosy and really well decorated, with comfy furniture and everything we needed. The setting in that field is just stunning-peaceful, fresh air, loads of birdsand amazing sunsets. The owners really went above and beyond, leaving us a lovely cream tea, which was such a sweet touch. Perfect spot to unwind and escape the hustle. We’ll definitely be back for more relaxing getaways. Thanks so much!
