About Black Hall Lodges

Black Hall Lodges form part of the exclusive Autograph Lodge Holiday collection so guests can expect very high standards. Nestled within the Shropshire countryside, this small collection of superior lodges has a fantastic location just a short stroll from Offa's Dyke and a few minutes drive from the historic Border town of Knighton. These lodges come highly recommended by previous customers and are ideal for couples seeking a romantic escape.

Boasting luxurious private hot tubs and outstanding interior style, the lodges also enjoy use of a brand new indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, games room, gentle exercise room nature trail and internet café. There is really no need to leave the site and many guests choose not to. Those who do wish to explore the region can enjoy several picturesque villages within walking distance and the towns of Shrewsbury and Welshpool are just slightly further away. Outdoor activities in the area include golf, fishing, cycling and sailing.

Accommodation is in unique Canadian round log lodges which are spacious and luxurious. The Huron Lodge is a single storey lodge and is perfect for couples with one double bedroom. The Michigan Lodge is a good choice for families with two bedrooms and a spacious family bathroom. The Ontario Lodge has two bedrooms and is an impressive two storey lodge with an amazing external decking area and hot tub. The Winnipeg Lodge is a VIP two storey lodge and has a large open plan living area and external deck with hot tub as well as three bedrooms.

The Couples VIP lodges are a modern single storey lodge with everything you need for a romantic break away. There are six Couples VIP lodges available are set in a private area of the park and are surrounded by gorgeous countryside & unspoilt views. The living/dining area consists of a widescreen smart TV, an electric effect log fire whilst the kitchen is fully equipped for your self-catering break. It includes an oven/grill, under counter fridge with small freezer compartment, a dishwasher & Tassimo coffee machine.The master bedroom has a king-size bed with a Smart TV, and patio doors leading out to your own private Jacuzzi hot tub. Hot tubs are located at the rear of these lodges to give maximum privacy. Complimentary bath robes & slippers are provided for your use in these lodges. The bathroom includes a freestanding bath, separate shower & a sauna for your own use at any time. Another set of patio doors lead out on to the front decking, which includes patio furniture and a BBQ platform area (suitable for disposable BBQ’s only). Communal Washing Machine & Tumble Drier onsite. Iron & Ironing board available on request. No pets accepted. Maximum occupancy 2 people – Adults only.

The Helsinki lodges are traditional Finnish log cabins. They span over two floors and have three bedrooms making them perfect for large family groups needing that extra space. The ground floor consists of a utility room with washing machine, iron & board. There is also a downstairs bathroom with a walk-in shower and a large king-size bedroom.In the main living area, there is a spacious lounge with wood burner, widescreen Smart TV, a Bluetooth speaker and iPod dock, plus a dining area for six. The kitchen includes a full-sized fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven/grill, Tassimo coffee machine & is fully equipped for a self-catering break. The island in the kitchen gives a lovely open plan style to the ground floor of this lodge.On the second floor, there is a king-size master bedroom with Smart TV and a balcony leading out to a table & chairs, perfect for your morning coffee. The twin room has two single beds.The upstairs bathroom has a bath. The Michigan lodge is our only single-storey two bedroomed lodge at Black Hall Lodges. It is perfect for those who have young children. The traditional Canadian log home has a king-size master bedroom with an en suite, which includes a walk-in shower. The twin room has two single beds. There is a second family bathroom which includes a bath and shower head hose.The large open plan kitchen/living area ensures the whole family are kept together during their stay at Black Hall. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a full-sized fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, wine cooler, oven/grill, Tassimo coffee machine & everything you need for a self-catering holiday. An iron & ironing board are also provided.In the main living area, there is a spacious lounge with reclining sofas, a wood burner, widescreen Smart TV, a Bluetooth speaker and iPod dock, plus a dining area for four. At the front of the Michigan lodge, you will find a large decking area with a private hot tub, along with patio furniture and a Masonry BBQ which can be used for disposable or traditional charcoal BBQ’s. Due to the style of this lodge, it has a Veranda over the decking and hot tub area, which makes it great for sitting outside, even on those rainy days. No pets accepted. Maximum occupancy 4 people.

The New Hampshire lodge is the most superior lodge at Black Hall. It is situated in the Adults only area of the park and is surrounded by gorgeous countryside & unspoilt views. Everything has been thought of to ensure that the New Hampshire lodge gives you the most memorable, romantic break away. This lodge boasts spaciousness in every room and has underfloor heating throughout. Extra touches like complimentary Prosecco, bath robes & slippers are provided with all stays at the New Hampshire. The large kitchen/dining area includes a full-size fridge/freezer, oven/grill, washing machine, dishwasher and Tassimo coffee machine. The spacious lounge area has a widescreen smart TV, an electric log fire, ample sofa space & Bluetooth speakers. The master bedroom has a super king-size bed with a Smart TV. The freestanding, copper bedside bath gives the New Hampshire lodge that extra special touch. In the large en suite bathroom, there is a full-sized Sauna, a large walk-in shower & double sinks.From the lounge area, patio doors lead you on to a spacious decking area where there is a sunken Jacuzzi hot tub covered by a wooden gazebo. "This lodge is so beautiful it had everything we needed. We loved the sauna and hot tub. We didnt use the bbq as it was very rainy being December but we used everything else. The coffee machine was a lively touch and all we had to do was take our own pods. There is loads of space. There was only 2 of us but it would have easily had the full 4 people in it comfortably. Really glad we booked this lodge."

"My husband, 11 month old and I stayed in Inari 2 for a week in September, this is by far the most kitted out self catering place weve ever stayed, the lodges are all strategically positioned so you arent overlooked, the location is beautiful with lots of walking trails locally, the leisure facilities were always clean and quiet, we used them daily and never shared with other guests. We will definitely stay again!"

"Winnipeg lodge is just the perfect family base. Spacious and well appointed, modern yet traditional canadian lodge. Considering its rural location the WIFI was excellent too which always keeps the kids happy. Hot tub was so nice to relax in. Log burner made it feel really cosy. It feels private and luxurious."

"An amazing place to holiday, the cabins are beautiful, what made it more special were the little things the staff did like had 2 fans on for when we arrived it was the hottest day, ice cubes already in the freezer. Its so peaceful and relaxing. The space between cabins is perfect. Oh and the views are stunning. We spent our 20th Wedding Anniversary there and plan on going again."

This award winning theme park in Shropshire has something for everyone.  Children will delight at the amazing array of rides and activities. Described on their own website as a "fairytale adventure" there is a nursery rhyme and fairytale characters theme running throughout the park. One inside the park you can enjoy unlimited free rides and there's an indoor soft play area for the younger ones and for when the weather is not on your side.  Another popular aspect of this attraction is the nature trail.  Check out their website for the latest events and admission costs. This company also owns Jungleland - another great attraction just 4 miles from Wonderland.
Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom - TF6 6DJ

Locally renowned for the Sheep Steeple chasing and daily goat races this is a really unique family attraction that the kids will love.  You can really get hands on with the farm animals with the animal handling sessions and you can have a go at teaching the parrots to talk!  The crazy craft cabin will keep even the most creative entertained with pottery and painting amongst other things. When you are in need of a rest head for the The Hungry Shepherd Tea Room where you can enjoy a bite to eat and children can burn even more energy in the indoor play area.
