"We stayed in Cherry Lodge, with a hot tub. My husband needed an accessible bathroom..it was lovely. He used the ramp entry into the lodge easily we felt very relaxed. My granddaughter, two and a half, loved the playground. It is a resort still in development, but we were not disturbed by building noise at all. Haystax close proximity to Gateshead made visiting our son easy. We went to Beamish living museum, that was amazing..and it's also close by. Lorna gave us careful check in instructions and left a lovely hamper..thankyou."

It was such a pleasant surprise and deeply appreciated! The lodge itself exceeded all expectations. The high-standard amenities (washing machine with dryer, separate fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and even a vacuum cleaner!) made our stay effortless. The quality of the furniture, crockery, and cutlery was outstanding, and the provision of toiletriesincluding handy extras like ear budsshowed remarkable attention to detail. We especially loved the separate towels for the bath and hot tub. Our goal was a relaxing family getaway, and Cherry Lodge delivered perfectly. "We had a lovely stay at this charming spot tucked away in a peaceful, private area. The owners were super friendly and always on hand if we needed anything, but it still felt private enough to relax completely. The hot tub was a real highlight after long days out cycling. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt ruin our trip at all. Wed definitely come back!"

"We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage tucked away on a working farm, yet it felt so private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely people. The place is really spacious and the kitchen and bathroom are well equipped, making everything easy. The bed was super comfy, which is always a plus. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded and furnished nicely. Plenty of walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants like The Star and The Maypole are worth a visit. Wed definitely recommend it!"

The cottage itself is charming, with its traditional half-timbered look and the shower's really powerful-so refreshing after a day out. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made it feel like a home away from home. Parking right next to the cottage was a real bonus. It's well heated, spotless and perfect for exploring the local area, especially those lovely walks to Thaxted. Wed definitely come back!"
