Woodside Coastal Retreat Reviews

"Very good holiday destination will defo be back next year !!"
Lee - Oct 2024
"Very well equipped spacious cabin perfect for our family group of 7 plus dog. Hot tub set into the decking is the best we've had.Lovely quiet setting with sea view and short woodland walk to own very small shingle beach."
Gary - Oct 2024
"The Lodge was very nice but did have a few things to say, we notice there was an old packet of sweet down the side of one of the beds which was lucky we found as thi was in the kids bedroom. The en suite had a flashing light that was becoming a pain after a couple of day. Maybe I should of reported it but I didn't want to be too fussy as we had called many of times to have the boiler fixed. We also noticed there was no hair dryer which was listed as being in the cabin and one of the kids found a bedsheet with a stain on it that isn't always nice. These were only minor issues and the enjoyment we had trumped all these little 5 minute fixes."

"Furniture are starting to show signs of being worn but otherwise still good. Enjoyed it. Hot tub worked for the whole time and is tested daily."
Verified Guest - Oct 2024
"Just arrived home from a fabulous stay in an Osbourne View lodge. The views and the lodge itself were amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful and relaxing time there. So much so, weve booked again for next year. The site was clean and well maintained and the staff were very polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday."
Jackie - Oct 2024
"We have been to this site many times over the years, there has always been a good standard of quality on site in lodges. In this Lodge, Tennyson premier lodge, there were a number of shabby issues due to wear and age. Cupboards in the kitchen were in need of repair, washing machine door, rusty frying pan only 2 saucepans for making food for eight people. Lack of cupboard space for storing food. Bed in first bedroom was missing decoration, which just looked needing repair."
Susie - Oct 2024
"Lovely sea view location! We Had a wonderful time with family! really easy to get to from the ferry. Our Lodge 24C pet free accommodation, it was clean, well furnished in all rooms and with all kitchen and cooking facilities provided! The beds were very comfortable, quiet, relaxing location, plenty of sockets around lodge that's very good.???? there were spider/webs under window curtains!Bathroom/kitchen???? were very tight squeeze to use!"
Syed Zaidi - Oct 2024
"Excellent time lovely lodge"
Josh - Oct 2024
"Great place to stay."
Deborah - Oct 2024
"We've stayed at Woodside Coastal retreat for several years now & enjoyed the experience so much we took my sister-in-law with us last year.We love the tranquil atmosphere & close vicinity to all of our favourite attractions. The lodges we stayed in numbers 22 & 24 do need some tlc.Things like a little tear in the wallpaper that would easily be sorted with a drop of adhesive or the kick plate under the refrigerator that's not been replaced certainly since our last stay. These maybe small niggles that wouldn't cost much to put right but give the impression that attention to detail is not a priority. The lodges are not cheap by any means & surely there must be a maintenance budget to rectify there issues. That said, we were late going into our lodge last week as the boiler was leaking & the plumber arrived early Saturday evening & replaced a part to repair it & light bulbs were replaced when we asked. It appears that if you report a issues it's corrected very quickly. My recommendation would be to employ a house keeper to give the lodges a quick once over once the cleaners have been to check everything is in order. All of the above will not stop us visiting again next year though."
Kevin - Oct 2024
"Just fabulous thankyou."
Stephen - Oct 2024
"Lodge was looking a little tired in places, but overall very nice."
Verified Guest - Oct 2024
"The lodge was clean and tidy but facilities in the kitchen were very tired and worn. The Wifi signal was poor and dipped in and out all the time. The towel rail/radiator in the ensuite bathroom got very very hot and although there is a notice warning of this it is very small and not immediately obvious. There is a real danger that you could burn yourself getting out of the shower."
Brian - Oct 2024
"Very tired and not cleaned well"
Tanya - Oct 2024
"Great place to relax and breathe in the sea air , lodge was comfortable and clean would definitely return, it was a bit pricey but shared with friends excellent value . Well kept surroundings , staff welcoming anything wrong with lodge like a light not working, maintenance come straight away , well done"
Linda - Sep 2024
"Furniture really quite tired now probably needs replacing."
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"Really loved this lodge and location perfect views across the sea, lights at night were fantastic while chilling in the hot tub .Lots of towels and a big deep bath also in lodge with a lovely on suite power shower Big decking the beds were very comfy we all had the best weeks sleep in a long time"
Wayne - Sep 2024
"A lovely lodge with a stunning view. It is in need of a bit of TLC and if that could be sorted it would be 10 out of 10."
Jan - Sep 2024
"Returning visit , after 5days at Woodside part of park Very comfortable but bathrooms need to be bigger Very clean tho"
Sandra - Sep 2024
"Ok. Enjoyed"
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"The lodge was lovely very spacious and nice everything u needed and down to the little things like toiletries in each bathroom tea towel washing up liquid and a sponge in the kitchen and teabags, coffees sugar and sachet milks in the kitchen for when you got there couldnt fault everything was lovely about it and any issues were sorted straight away very soundproof as well which is really nice"
Lisa - Aug 2024
"Started with creaking bed, broken toilet seat, dishwasher in desperate need of salt and rinse aid. All Fixed immediately when reported. There was only 3 cushions for outside 6 chairs. Only 5 spoons not 8, the oven was impossible to use as a fan over and the seal was hanging off the door."
Verified Guest - Aug 2024
"Slightly out dated and not perfectly clean. We have the hoover the lounge area when we arrived"
Sara - Aug 2024
"We were in the Osborne Premiere View, and I have to say, the view was stunning!"
Carol - Jul 2024
"Location and setting was lovely however the cleanliness of the lodge and standard of equipment was unacceptable. The dishwasher was black inside and broken, the washing machine smelt, the freezer was off its rail and never defrosted. The iron was a health and safety hazard. Had to clean the wardrobes before putting any clothes in and a pile of dust/ dirt left in the entrance. When issues raised with equipment these were rectified to a level however still never cleaned. If the cleanliness and standards were to be improved it would be a return visit due to location however not based on current standards"
Sharon - Jul 2024

Verified Guest - Jul 2024
"The positives were :1. Very spacious 2. Lovely view over The Solent3. Extremely peaceful All in all these counteracted the negatives which resulted from lack of management"
Gareth - Jul 2024
"Needs better cleaning and maybe a freshen up shower tray was broke and should have been replaced yet the lodge was still let out when the site new about this, bedding and furniture was full of dog hairs so no hovering had been done prior to our check-in"
Paul - Jul 2024
"Lodge in poor position no internet little tv , needs bit of a facelift , no sun on decking hot tub broken BUt WE DID KNOW AND HAD REFUND ."
