"Loved every second spent at Exmoor Gate Lodge. We stayed in Dunkery Lodge and couldn't fault it. Lovely private outside space with a fabulous hot tub, surrounded by woods and fields. Christmas Day in a hot tub , pure luxury .
Lodge had all the facilities required ,washing machine ,drying racks,dishwasher , DVD player . We were provided with disposable cooking trays for our Christmas turkey ,a mini Christmas tree was provided , mince pies and biscuits ,very thoughtful- thank you .

Negative things: after paying reasonable amount and drive 4 hours still charge for electricity is not acceptable especially if max cost can be £10 -15 really not nice"

"Overall, we thought it was quite a good stay. The place was spotless when we arrivedand everything worked well during our time there. We did find it a bit pricey for just two people, but since its a lodge meant for five, it makes sense. The bathroom heater was out at first, but they sorted it quickly - good service! Wed stay again."

The location is stunning-right next to fields and woodland, so peaceful. Gary was incredibly helpful, offering great tips on local walks, places to eatand where to get supplies. Having private access to the pool was a real treatand the games room was a lovely bonus. Wed love to come back, thanks for a brilliant holiday!"

"Lovely place to stay accommodation was clean very well kitted out with necessities to make for a comfortable stay. Host were amazing nothing was too much trouble. A larger area for kids to run around somewhere within the site would have been an added bonus. Scenery was lovely felt in the heart of the countryside. Hot tub area was private and not overlooked used the games room multiple times kids loved it and all very good value for money. Private pool was well worth a visit clean warm and plenty of toys for kids. would love to return for another stay."

It’s peaceful and full of wonderful wildlife all around.
A bit too hilly for walking for me and roads around don’t have paths always.
The villages near are really friendly and most shops and pubs are dog friendly."
